Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Cubans who are currently playing abroad.

Javier Justiz
Javier Justiz
#1. This week's number one is an international center Javier Justiz (205-92, agency: Pro Sports, currently plays in Argentina). He was the major contributor in a 2-point San Lorenzo's victory against the fifth-ranked Hispano Americano de Rio Gallegos (0-4) 92-90 in the Argentinian LigaA in Thursday night's game. Justiz recorded 18 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 25 minutes on the court. San Lorenzo de Almagra (5-0) is placed first in Group C. So far his team won all five games in the Regular Season. There are only three games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. It's Justiz's first season with the team. He has relatively good stats this year: 14.4ppg, 7.2rpg, 2FGP: 59.1%(26-44) and FT: 68.0% in five games he played so far. Justiz played for the Cuban senior national team one years ago.

Yorman Polas Bartolo
Yorman Polas Bartolo
#2. Second place goes to former international swingman Yorman Polas Bartolo (192-85, currently plays in Basketball Champions League). He led his German team Telekom Baskets to a victory against the 15th-ranked Joensuun Kataja 85-81 in the Basketball Champions League last Monday. Bartolo scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Telekom Baskets Bonn (0-1) closes the standings in the Basketball Champions League. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. This year Bartolo has relatively solid stats: 10.3ppg, 8.7rpg, 2.0apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 57.1%(12-21), 3FGP: 28.6%. He has a dual citizenship: Cuban and German. Bartolo played for the Cuban national team in 2011.

Reynaldo Garcia
Reynaldo Garcia
#3. The Cuban player who performed third best last week abroad was former international guard Reynaldo Garcia (187-90, agency: DTMones, currently plays in Liga SudAmericana). He could not help San Martin Corrientes (1-2) to beat Flamengo (3-0). Garcia recorded 7 points, 4 assists and 3 steals in 21 minutes. San Martin Corrientes was edged 76-75 on the road by the leading Flamengo. The Preliminary Round already ended in the Liga Sudamericana. This year Garcia's overall stats are: 6.3ppg, 3.0rpg, 2.3apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 37.5% and FT: 63.6% in three games. He played for the Cuban national team eight years ago.

Yoanki Mensia
Yoanki Mensia
#4. Forward Yoanki Mensia (196-97, currently plays in Argentina) contributed to a GECR Indalo's victory against the fourth-ranked Weber Bahia (2-2) 92-87 in the Argentinian LigaA in Tuesday night's game. Mensia recorded 6 points. Gimnasia-Indalo Esgr.Comodoro Rivadavia (3-3) is placed second in Group D. There are only two games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. This season Mensia averages: 2.2ppg and 1.8rpg. He used to play for the Cuban national team last year.

Georvys Elias
Georvys Elias
#5. An experienced former international forward Georvys Elias (199-81, currently plays in Spain) led Albacete to a 2-point victory over the 13th-ranked Cambados (0-2) 78-76 in the Spanish LEB Silver (third division) in Saturday night's game. He was MVP of the game. Elias scored 14 points, grabbed 8 boards, handed out 3 passes and blocked 3 shots in 37 minutes. Arcos Albacete Basket (2-0) is placed first in the LEB Silver. But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go. This year Elias' total stats are: 9.0ppg, 6.0rpg, 1.5apg and 1.5bpg in two games. He used to play for the Cuban national team eight years ago.

Georffri Silvestre
Georffri Silvestre
#6. Power forward Georffri Silvestre (202-79, currently plays in Spain) was not able to help Nautico KIA Tenerife (2-1) in their last game. Despite his good performance the sixth-placed Nautico KIA Tenerife (2-1) was badly defeated 81-65 in Madrid by the higher-ranked (#3) Real II in the Group B. Silvestre was the top scorer with 14 points. He also added 7 rebounds in 22 minutes. It was his first game for Nautico KIA Tenerife this season. Silvestre is a former international player as he played for the Cuban senior team seventeen years ago.

The list of other players, who all have Cuban passport but never been selected to any of Cuban national teams:

#1. Howard Sant-Roos (200-F-91, currently plays in Turkey) could not help Darussafaka (0-1) in their last game. Despite Sant-Roos' good performance Darussafaka was badly defeated 97-81 on the road by the higher-ranked (#7) Tofas. He recorded 12 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in 34 minutes. It was his first game for Darussafaka this season. But the season just started, so everything may happen.

#2. Sigfredo Casero-Ortiz (185-PG-97, currently plays in Belgium) was not able to help Spirou Charleroi in their game against Belfius Mons-Hainaut (2-1) in the Belgian Euromillions League. Casero-Ortiz scored 8 points. It was his first game for Spirou Charleroi this season. Spirou Charleroi was defeated 90-84 in Jemappes by the higher-ranked Belfius Mons-Hainaut (#4). But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Casero-Ortiz has a dual citizenship: Cuban and Belgian. Despite his Cuban passport, Casero-Ortiz currently plays for the Belgian U20 national team and is not eligible to play for the Cuban team.

#3. Juan Ferrales (187-G-91, college: Barry, currently plays in Norway) was not able to secure a victory for one of league's weakest teams Kongsberg (2-2) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Ferrales' good performance Kongsberg was defeated 88-74 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Tromso (#6). He scored 11 points, grabbed 7 rebounds and dished 6 assists. Ferrales has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 19.0ppg, 5.8rpg and 7.3apg. Ferrales is another player who holds two passports: Cuban and American. Strangely he has never played in Cuba.

#4. Yankiel Moreno (189-G-90, agency: Interperformances, currently plays in Italy) couldn't help Kleb Ferrara (1-1) in their game against Imola (1-1) in the Italian Serie A2 (second division). Moreno scored 6 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 28 minutes. The tenth-placed Kleb Ferrara (1-1) was crushed 71-45 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked (#5) Imola in the East group. Moreno has averaged so far 8.5ppg and 5.0rpg in two games he played so far. He has both Cuban and Italian nationalities. Despite Moreno's Cuban passport, he previously played for the Italian U18 national team and probably cannot be called to the Cuban team.

#5. Sigal Benitez (193-G-94, currently plays in Spain) couldn't help Quart (0-2) in their last game on Sunday. Despite Benitez's good performance the 13th-placed Quart (0-2) was defeated 70-66 at home by the second-ranked Sant Josep in the Group C-A. He was the top scorer with 12 points. Benitez has reliable stats this season: 11.5ppg and 2.5rpg.
