  Sameji wins Santiago League... again
Last night, Sameji made history winning 82-79, in a thriller of a game, in front of a packed Palacio de los Deportes.
Led by the efforts of Marlon Martinez (204-F/C-77, agency: Duran International) who notched 25 pts & 10 rebs in a blistering 40 mins on the court, the game was decided in the final :45 seconds. In fact, all but one of the games in this year's Final Serie have been decided by 5 points or less. Amaury Filion (206-C/F-81) added 15 pts & 7 rebs as did Joel Ramirez (191-G-81) with 13 points.
The true story of the game lies with Jose Rodriguez (180-G-80) 15 pts. "Samosa" shot an amazing 3 of 3 from behind the 3pt line. In the other games were there was a Sameji prescence aside from the "National Team Trio", Sameji emerged victorious and in those other occasions, it was always the efforts of "Samosa" Rodriguez.

For CUPES, who battled until the very end of the contest, they were led by former National Team mamber Fausto Alex Sime (192-G-79) who had 24 pts & 8 rebs.
Manuel Guzman (203-F-82, college: Bemidji St.) 21 pts (2 of 2 from 3) and Jitim Young (188-G-81, agency: Priority Sports, college: Northwestern) 15 pts
Santiago 3pt shooting champion, Osvaldo Lopez (189-G/F-83) was held to only 9 pts on 2 of 9 shooting from 3, facing an array of different defenders the entire night!

Sameji wins their 8th title in the Santiago Regional Tourneo…and their unprecedented 4th consecutive championship!

Congratulations go to Sameji and great job! It was truly a pleasure to watch! SAMEJI, FELICIDADES Y BUEN TRABAJO!
