Dominican Republic post the second straight win at the Coloseum Jose Miguel Agrelot in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. The team overcame Jamaica 80:64 and stepped closer to qualify for the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship.
Jamaica grabbed 21-19 lead at the end of the first period, but could not keep the lead for good. Dominican Republic managed to tie the score at the halftime and dominated the second half. They won the third period 21-11 and finished the game with 22-16 in the last stanza.
Alfred Horford (208-F/C-86, college: Florida) top-scored for the winners with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Elpidio Fortuna (186-G-85) and Juan Coronado (196-G-83) netted 19 each. Suero Angel added 8 points for the winners. Samardo Samuels (206-F/C-89, college: Louisville) and Oritseweyinmi Efejuku (196-G-86, college: Providence) replied with 15 points in the losing effort. Jerome Jordan (213-C-86, college: Tulsa) had 13, whilst Ewing Patrick nailed 10.

Calero recorded the fourth straight win in District Nacional championship. They overcame Huellas del Siglo 80:72 to improve at 4-0 record. Travis Gabbidon (201-F, college: UTSA) stepped up with 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the winners. Huellas led by two points after the opening quarter 14:12. Bameso climbed on top of the standings in the District Nacional tournament. They handed the first loss to previously undefeated Los Minas 103:93. Both teams are now tied at 3-1 record. Wagner Diaz connected for 19 points to lead the winners. Joshua Dollard (203-F-86, college: USC Aiken) fired 23 points in the victory.
