Dominican Republic managed to tie the score at the halftime and dominated the second half. They won the third period 21-11 and finished the game with 22-16 in the last stanza. Alfred Horford (208-F/C-86, college: Florida) top-scored for the winners with 23 points and 10 rebounds, while Elpidio Fortuna (186-G-85) and Juan Coronado (196-G-83) netted 19 each. Suero Angel added 8 points for the winners. Samardo Samuels (206-F/C-89, college: Louisville) and Oritseweyinmi Efejuku (196-G-86, college: Providence) replied with 15 points in the losing effort.
