Eulis Baez (198-F-82, college: W.Illinois) is a new member of Gran Canaria. Dominican Republic National Team forward penned a 3-year deal with Granca. He arrives to the club from Joventut Badalona, where he had 9.5 ppg and 5.2 rpg in 24 Liga Endesa games last season. Baez played for Valladolid from 2009 until the last summer. He had 9.1 ppg and 5.2 rpg for them in their second season together. In 2008/09, the forward played for LEB Gold team Vic. He also has experience from Western Illinois University, Florida International University and Southeastern Community College. Eulis Baez is active member of Dominican Republic NT since 2006. He had 9 ppg and 4 rpg for 5 games at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Caracas. Last summer, Baez led Dominican Republic to Gold at Centrobasket in San Juan. They also grabbed bronze medals at FIBA Americas in Mar del Plata and Marchand Cup in Foz de Iguazu.

Calero recorded the fourth straight win in District Nacional championship. They overcame Huellas del Siglo 80:72 to improve at 4-0 record. Travis Gabbidon (201-F, college: UTSA) stepped up with 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead the winners.
