Juan Guerrero (201-F-93, agency: Basket Management Solutions) had a great game in the last round for El Million and that's him to receive a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 4. The 24-year old forward had a double-double of 30 points and sixteen rebounds, while his team outclassed, the league's bottom-ranked team Los Prados (#4, 0-5) with 27-point margin 97-70. El Million maintains the 3rd position in their group in Dominican Rep. TBS. El Million is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 2-3 record. Guerrero just recently signed at El Million and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Guerrero has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (7th best: 2.0apg) and averages solid 66.7% from behind 3-point line.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 29-year old American power forward Dominique Keller (205-F/C-88) of Bameso. Keller impressed basketball fans with 22 points and 6 rebounds. Bad luck as Bameso lost that game 71-81 to slightly higher-ranked San Carlos (#2, 3-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in group B. Bameso still maintains its place in the top 4 of the standings, even despite this loss. 4 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Bameso managed to get this year. Keller is one of the most experienced players at Bameso and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. University of Illinois alumni Keller played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.
The third best performed player last round was another El Million's star - American Paris Bass (203-G/F-95). Bass scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds. He was another key player of El Million, helping his team with a 97-70 easy win against #4 ranked Los Prados. The chances of El Million ranking at the top of group A, however are very questionable as they have already lost 3 games, recording just two victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Bass could help El Million to bring them higher in the standings. Bass has a great season in Dominican Republic. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.3ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 9.8rpg (3rd best).
Other top performing players last week: 4. Augustine Okosun (210-C-86) of Rafael Barias - 12 points and 18 rebounds 5. Juan Miguel Suero (198-SG-93) of Mauricio Baez - 24 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists 6. Miguel Dicent (190-G-94) of San Lazaro - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists 7. Herbert Graham (196-G-93) of Huellas Del Siglo - 17 points and 9 rebounds 8. Jerome Frink (201-F-93) of San Lazaro - 20 points and 7 rebounds 9. Trevante Drye (199-F-93) of Huellas Del Siglo - 11 points and 15 rebounds 10. Anthony McDonald (185-G-92) of Bameso - 16 points and 8 rebounds
