Third game of the LNB Finals was played last night. Indios celebrated 101-87 victory in this meeting. They faced with two defeats in the first two games, so Caneros have 2-1 lead in this series. In Game Two, Caneros registered 89-83 win. Mario West (195-G-84, college: Georgia Tech) had 21 points and 5 rebounds for Caneros. Alejandro Carmona (194-G/F-83) followed him with 19 points and 8 rebs. In defeat, Ollie Bailey (201-F-85, college: Oklahoma City) responded with 24 points. Game Four is scheduled for tomorrow.
In the opening game of the LNB Finals Caneros also celebrated 89-83 win. Mario West was the leading scorer in victory with 21 points. Bobby Pandy (198-F-84, college: Tex.A&M-Kingsv.) secured a great help adding 16 points, while Jose Olivero and Maurice Carter netted 13 points each. Edward Santana added 11 pts to this win. At the other side, Indios got 23 points form Robert Glenn Ollie Bailey had 20 and Reggie Charles stopped to 11.

Center Eloy Vargas (211-C-88, agency: Duran International) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Metros STGO, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 3 (Second Stage). The 29-year old player had a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, while his team beat Huracanes PP (#3, 1-4) 88-81. It allowed Metros STGO to consolidate first place in the Dominican Rep. LNB. The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Titanes Licey (2-2) in San Cristobal on Monday night. Hosts were defeated by Caneros LR (2-2) 99-92. The guests trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 99-92. Strangely Titanes Licey outrebounded Caneros LR 40-26 including 18 on the offensive glass.
