Indios de San Fransisco cut the deficit in LNB Finals. They celebrated victory in the fifth game of the series to get within one victory from Caneros at 2-3. Robert Glenn (201-F/C-89, college: IUPUI) came up with 18 points to lead the winners. The sixth and what could be decisive game of the championship series is scheduled for tomorrow at the Eleoncio Mercedes de La Romana Arena.
Indios posted a 22:16 lead after ten minutes of action. They maintained the lead throughout the second quarter. The hosts ensured a 40:34 halftime advantage. They extended the lead to 13 points in the third quarter. Caneros stayed behind throughout the fourth frame as Indios celebrated a vital win at the end. Richard Ortega (190-F-86, college: St.Joseph's) posted 13 points, while Ollie Bailey (201-F-85, college: Oklahoma City) added 12 points for the winners. Alejandro Carmona (194-G/F-83) answered with 20 points for Caneros. Edward Santana (203-F-80, agency: Regeneracom Sports) netted 17 points in the loss.

Retiro 23 was the winner in the 2016 edition of Torneo Superior de San Pedro de Macoris, as the team completed a 2-0 sweep over Centro in the Finals, thanks to a victory, 106-83, in a tournament dedicated to Danilo Medina, President of the Dominican Republic. Garra Canera de Navolato (CIBACOPA) landed 28-year old American forward Rashad Bishop (198-100kg-88, college: Cincinnati). He moved there from Mauricio Baez in District National in Dominican Republic where he started the season.
