Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Dominicans who are currently playing abroad.

Sammy Mejia
Sammy Mejia
#1. This week's number one is former international guard Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul, currently plays in Turkey), who plays in the Turkish TBL. Mejia could not help Banvit BK (7-2) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Banvit BK was badly defeated 89-69 on the road by the leading Fenerbahce Ulker. Mejia was the top scorer with 18 points in 28 minutes on the court. It was Banvit BK's first loss after seven consecutive victories. But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen. Mejia has relatively good stats this year: 12.4ppg, 4.9rpg, 3.1apg, 2FGP: 60.3%(35-58), 3FGP: 46.7%(7-15) and FT: 75.0% in the nine games he played so far. He played for the Dominican Republic senior national team seven years ago.

Trevor Ariza
Trevor Ariza
#2. Second place goes to former international forward Trevor Ariza (203-85, agency: David Lee services, college: UCLA, currently plays in NBA). The Washington Wizards have not so impressive 3-15 record this season. This year Ariza has relatively solid stats: 8.1ppg, 4.9rpg, 2.1apg, 1.9spg, 2FGP: 38.9%, 3FGP: 25.6% and FT: 84.0%. He has a dual citizenship: Dominican Republic and American. Ariza played for the Dominican Republic national team in 2005. Strangely he has never played in Dominican Republic.
