Luis Flores joins Hapoel Eilat, ex Titanes - Dec 31, 2012

Hapoel Eilat (Winner League) agreed terms with 31-year old Dominican Rep. guard Luis Flores (188-81, college: Manhattan). Flores managed to play in four leagues in three countries last year (!!!). He played last summer at Titanes in LNB league in Dominican Republic. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in LNB South Division. They also advanced to the league semifinals. Flores also played at Budivelnyk in Ukrainian Superleague that season. In 20 games last season he had 13.9ppg, 3.1rpg and 2.4apg. He contributed to his team winning the cup and make to league semifinals. Flores also played 2 games in VTB United League where he recorded 15.0ppg, 2.0rpg and 2.5spg. The other team he played that season for was Asefa Estudiantes in Spanish ACB. In 16 games he recorded 10.8ppg, 1.8rpg, 1.1apg and 1.1spg.
The previous (2011) summer Flores played at Leones in Dominican Rep. LNB. Another team he played that season for was BC Donetsk in Superleague. In 33 games that year he was second best scorer with impressive 16.7ppg and averaged 3.6rpg and 3.3apg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Ukrainian Superleague Honorable Mention.
In 2004 Flores was drafted by Brooklyn Kings (USBL) as #5 pick overall.
He attended Manhattan College and it will be his ninth season in pro basketball.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as Flores won Venezuelan LPB championship title in 2009. He was also voted Eurobasket.com All-EuroChallenge Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-EuroChallenge Import of the Year in 2010. Flores represented Dominican Republic at the FIBA Americas in Mar del Plata (Argentina) last year. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 10 games: 7.6ppg, 1.8rpg, 2.7apg, FGP: 45.8%, 3PT: 42.1%, FT: 88.9%.
Flores is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Greece (Olimpiada), Italy (Fabriano), Russia (Krasnie Krilya), Israel (Hapoel Holon), Venezuela (Marinos).

Indios de San Francisco (LNB) inked 29-year old American center Albert Jackson (211-113kg-88, college: Georgia). He moved there from played at La Union in Argentinian TNA league where he started the season. In 12 games he recorded 10.8ppg, 8.6rpg and 1.3bpg this season.
