Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Dominicans who are currently playing abroad.

Sammy Mejia
Sammy Mejia
#1. This week's number one is former international guard Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul, currently plays in Eurocup). He led his Turkish team Banvit BK to a victory against the closely-ranked Buducnost (1-1) 89-80 in the Eurocup on Wednesday night. Mejia scored 14 points and added 4 passes in 33 minutes on the court. Banvit Basketbol Kulubu (1-1) is placed second in group I. There are only four games left until the end of the Eurocup Top 16. So now every game will be critical. It's Mejia's first season with the team. Mejia is currently fifth on the list of most steals with 1.9spg. This year his other stats are: 17.1ppg, 5.9rpg, 3.6apg, 2FGP: 71.2%(47-66), 3FGP: 45.0% and FT: 76.2% in the eight games he played so far. Mejia has a dual citizenship: Dominican Republic and American. He played for the Dominican Republic senior national team eight years ago. Strangely Mejia has never played in Dominican Republic.
