Vaughn comes back to Indios de San Francisco, ex Gaiteros - Jul 10, 2017

Indios de San Francisco (LNB) inked 29-year old American center Julian Vaughn (208-111kg-88, college: Georgetown). It is actually his comeback to San Francisco as he has played here before. Vaughn played most recently at Gaiteros in Venezuelan LPB league. He managed to play in four leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 6 LPB games he recorded very impressive stats: 18.3ppg, 7.2rpg and 2.0bpg. Vaughn also played that season for Stelmet in Polish PLK. The team played in three different competitions that year, and he was exposed to basketball on different levels. In 18 PLK games he averaged 7.1ppg and 3.5rpg. Vaughn helped them to make it to the Supercup final. He also played 1 game in FIBA Europe Cup where he had 4 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 3 blocks. Vaughn also played 14 games in Basketball Champions League where he got 5.1ppg and 3.9rpg.
Among other achievements Vaughn won Czech Republic League championship title in 2016. He received also All-Cyprus League All-Defensive Team award back in 2013.
Vaughn is a very experienced player. He has quite traveled the world as his pro career brought him to five different countries on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Vaughn has played previously professionally in Belgium (Antwerp Giants), Dominican Rep., Greece (PAOK Thessaloniki and KAO Dramas), Cyprus (Keravnos) and Czech Republic (CEZ Nymburk).
He attended Georgetown University until 2011 and it will be his seventh season in pro basketball.

Here is the last round review presented by ESL. Santiago League round 7 most important game was a victory of Plaza over 5th ranked Pueblo Nuevo 109-99 on Friday night. Plaza (3-2) moved-up to second place, which they share with CDP and Sameji. Pueblo Nuevo at the other side keeps the fifth position with three games lost. DENZEL BOWLES San Lazaro (District National) landed 28-year old American power forward Denzel Bowles (208-116kg-89, college: JMU, agency: Dutt Sports Services). He played recently at Hapoel Eilat in Israeli Winner League, but left the team two months ago. In three games he averaged just 2.3ppg and 1.7rpg this season.
