McCombs
Sol de America Asuncion (Metropolitan League) strengthened their roster with addition of 28-year old American power forward Dwight McCombs (203-110kg-89, college: Cent.Florida, agency: DTMones). He played last summer at Soles de Santo Domingo in LNB league in Dominican Republic, but left the team in June. In 8 LNB games he recorded 11.4ppg, 10.0rpg and 1.4bpg. The last season McCombs played at Espanol de Talca in Chilean Liga Nacional where in 52 games he averaged impressive 20.9ppg, 12.8rpg (#2 in the league), 1.4apg and 1.3bpg. McCombs helped them to win the league title (twice). Great season indeed as he was voted to Latinbasket.com All-Chilean Liga Nacional 1st Team and All-Imports Team.
In 2013 (a year after he left the college) McCombs was drafted by Mississauga Power (NBL Canada) in second round (14th overall).
He attended University of Central Florida until 2012 and it will be his sixth season in pro basketball.
McCombs is quite experienced player. Thanks to his pro career he managed to play on three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America) in five different countries. McCombs has played previously professionally in Argentina (San Isidro), Germany (Cuxhaven BasCats), Canada (London Lightning), ABL (Palm Beach Piranhas) and Ecuador (Juvenil).

Sammy Mejia's double-double lands him Player of the Week award among Dominicans playing currently abroad: - 9 days ago
We bring you last week's top performances from Dominicans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level. Karl-Anthony Towns (213-F/C-95) could not help the Minnesota Timberwolves (35-25) in their last game.
