Barnes already started the season at Mataro Parc Boet in Spanish EBA league. The last summer he was tested by Liberia (LBS) in Costa Rican league. Quite impressive season as he was named to Costa Rican LBS All-Star Game and League Player of the Week. Barnes' team won Mitchell Americas Cup for three years in a row (between 2015 and 2017). Last season he was named MVP after averaging an event best 29.8 points per game. He was voted Eurobasket.com All-Cyprus League Forward of the Year and All-Import honors. Barnes was a member of USA Senior National Team two years ago.

He is quite experienced player. Barnes' career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in eleven different countries. Barnes tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Cyprus (Yenicami), Dominican Rep., Japan, Mexico (Frayles de Guasave), Saudi Arabia (Al Ahli Jeddah), Taiwan, Uruguay, NBA (Minnesota Timberwolves), Dominican Republic (CDP Domingo Paulino Santiago and Pueblo Nuevo), ABA (Arizona R.) and SEBL (Phoenix).
