After
claiming Game 1, San Marcos
defeated
Universidad Tecnologica even in Game 2 of the Final Series, becoming the
Salvadorean Champion for the fourth time in a row.
Game 2 ended 78-70 for
San Marcos.
The two teams were head to head all game long and
San Marcos
prevailed thanks only to better shooting accuracy from all his players. With 30
points and a continous presence at the offensive side,
Oscar Rivera (190-F-80) was the man of the game for
San Marcos,
earning at the end the Finals MVP Award too.
Jose Antonio Orellana (189-F-87) added 15 points at the winning sinde, and
Carlos Arias (200-F/C-89) 11 pts and 14 rebs.

St.) scored 30 points to lead UTEC in losing effort,
Jorge Loucel (186-F-90) well assisted him at 15 pts.
San Marcos claims Apertura title - Jun 27, 2012
Defeating Centro Educativo Denver 95-91 in Game 2 of Final Series, San Marcos claimed the Division One-Apertura crown. After having won Game 1, San Marcos started Game 2 very well, winning 1st quarter 28-20 and staying ahead at the end of the first half, 50-37. Led by Mauricio Lahud (176-PG-84), Bob Hunter (193-F-76) and Douglas Baires (180-G), Denver came back during the third quarter, but it wasn' t enough. Another time more, Oscar Rivera (190-F-80) was the man of the game, with 24 points. He was also awarded with the Finals MVP award. Edwin Lopez (183-G/F-85) added 19 at the winning side. With 22 points, Lahud was the top performer in Denver, and Baires scored 19 pts.
