Tomorrow, saturday March 17, starts the 2012 edition of Salvadorean First Division-Apertura. The teams' line up is made of eight clubs, as follows down:

The first two games scheduled will be Denver-ExSal and Leones-Roll Royce.
All the clubs have been allowed to register only domestic players and each team will play 14 games in a round robin format. At the end of Regular Season, the best four teams will advance to Semifinals, best of three games, and the two winners will battle themselves in the Apertura Final, best of three games it too.

Douglas Baires (180-G) was tthe game top performer at 21 pts, Ernesto Lahud (176-PG-84) added 8, at the home team side Edgar Ramirez (191-F) scored 16 pts and Gerson Lanza (G) 13 In the second game of the day, Leones defeated Chaleco, 76-68, with Hugo Salazar (189-F-81) leading the way at 28 puntos, Arturo Escamilla (185-F-77) adding 17 and Isaac Figueroa (191-F) adding 13. With 20 points, Eduardo Recinos (192-F) was the best at the losing side, and Rene Palma added 16. The game between Roll Royce and UTEP ended before the regulation, due to a retirement from the court of all the Roll Royce players, when the score was 73-54 for UTEC. It hall happened during the fourth quarter, at 8:21 from the end of the game. A brawl between Kevin Mejia and Julio Mancia (202-C-80) started various discussions and disputes betweeen referees, players and coaches of both teams. At the end, disagreeing with referees decisions, Roll Royce coach Carlos Lopez decided to retire his team. Three days before, in the first game of the same round, San Marcos had easily prevailed over Delgadense, 105-57, keeping the top of the table undefeated.
