Leones and UTEC came ut winners from saturday evening Clausura games. The first game ended 86-83 for Leones over Chaleco. Scoring 30 points to lead his Leones team, Hugo Salazar (189-F-81) was the man of the game, Isidro Andaluz (178-PG-88) added 19 pts, Arturo Escamilla (185-F-77) 18. At the losing side, Chaleco had Alex Burgos with 26 pts, followed by Rene Palma with 12 and Herbert Penate with 11. The secong game was a "stellar" meeting between ExSAL and UTEC, and the score went up and down between the two teams all game long. ExSal anded ahead the 1st quarter (22-10), UTEC took the 2nd quarter (29-10), ExSAL again won 3rd quarter (28-11), but wasn' t able to answer to the come back of UTEC, winner ofthe game 81-79. Jorge Loucel (186-F-90) scored 27 pts to lead UTEC, followed by Eduardo Aguilar (176-PG-86), with 14. Martin Ignacio Ramos (170-PG-92) led ExSAL in a 27 points losing effort. The game between Roll Royce and UTEP ended before the regulation, due to a retirement from the court of all the Roll Royce players, when the score was 73-54 for UTEC. It hall happened during the fourth quarter, at 8:21 from the end of the game. A brawl between Kevin Mejia and Julio Mancia (202-C-80) started various discussions and disputes betweeen referees, players and coaches of both teams. At the end, disagreeing with referees decisions, Roll Royce coach Carlos Lopez decided to retire his team. Three days before, in the first game of the same round, San Marcos had easily prevailed over Delgadense, 105-57, keeping the top of the table undefeated.
