San Marcos recorded the second straight victory in Liga Superior championship series. They edged ExSAL ST for the second straight win. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 18-8 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Nigerian-American center Olaniyi Akinkugbe (208, college: N.Carolina A&T) had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Leonardo Gomez chipped in 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. San Marcos' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Venezuelan-Colombian forward Michael Hinestroza Javes (208-90, college: UALR) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 20 rebounds and 9 blocks and point guard Eduardo Cabrera (-94) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four ExSAL ST players scored in double figures.

The round 18 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. Bottom-ranked Giants is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to seventh ranked Denver-FAS (7-5) 95-71 on Wednesday evening. Denver-FAS forced 22 Giants turnovers.
