There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in Liga MB. Coincidentally all hosts won their games.

Santa Tecla smashed Cojute at home 103-59. Santa Tecla forced 25 Cojute turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 37 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by Cojute's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Santa Tecla made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was naturalized American point guard Robert Martinez (185-91, college: Our Lady Lake) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 assists. Center Carlos Arias (200-89) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds. American Kenny Demouchet (198-89, college: Jackson St.) produced 28 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Cojute will play next round against strong Canarios trying to get back on the winning streak. Santa Tecla will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game.
Sonsonate (0-1) recorded a loss on the court of Quezaltepeque. Visitors were rolled over by Quezaltepeque 88-69. American Quincy Scates (197-89, college: Tenn Wesleyan) orchestrated the victory by scoring 32 points and 6 rebounds.
