Johnson
American Jordan Johnson (183-PG-92) had an amazing evening in the last round for San Miguel and that's him to receive a Latinbasket.com Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 6.
The 24-year old playmaker had a double-double of 37 points and eleven rebounds, while his team crushed Cojute (1-4) with 18-point margin 79-61. The game was not the highest importance and did not have significant influence on top of the standings. San Miguel is placed at 12th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. The season is still in it's early stage, so the team may have a chance to improve their current position in the standings. They lost 4 games and had just one victory. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable nine three-pointers out of 17 attempts. He just recently signed at San Miguel, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Tennessee Tech University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Johnson is in league's top in points (2nd best: 32.0ppg) and averages solid 3.4spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Yoan Haiti of Sonsonate. Haiti impressed basketball fans with a triple-double of 26 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists. Of course he led Sonsonate to another comfortable win outscoring Canarios (3-1) 115-85. This victory allowed Sonsonate to move up to 5th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 3-1 record is not bad and everything may still change. Haiti is one of the most experienced players at Sonsonate and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Tobias Dowdell (201-F-90) of Santa Ana (#11). Dowdell got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for six rebounds . He was a key player of Santa Ana, leading his team to a 117-86 easy win against Giants (#14, 0-4). Santa Ana can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-3 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Dowdell he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. The season just started for Dowdell as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Carlos Arias (200-C-89) of Santa Tecla - 22 points and 22 rebounds
5. Maliek Daniels (193-SG-88) of Santa Ana - 31 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists
6. Maurice Williams) of Giants - 29 points and 11 rebounds
7. Jeffery Moss (193-PF-93) of Halcones - 28 points and 10 rebounds
8. Jeremee Davis (191-PG-90) of Halcones - 26 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Yordany Jaca (195-PF-83) of Arcense - 20 points and 15 rebounds
10. Reginald Brown (202-C-91) of Canarios - 18 points and 16 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
