American Anthony Moe (206-F/C) had a great game in the last round for Cojute and that's him to receive a Latinbasket.com Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 14.
The power forward had a double-double of 37 points and nineteen rebounds, while his team beat Quezaltepeque (#5, 6-3) 97-85. Thanks to this victory Cojute moved-up to the 8th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. Cojute is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-4 record. In the team's last game Moe had a remarkable 70.8% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Cojute, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Anthony Moe averages this season 23.6ppg and 13.4rpg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 26-year old American center Marc Montavious (206-C-90) of 11 Lobos. Montavious impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 19 points and 23 rebounds. Of course he led 11 Lobos to another comfortable win 102-83 over slightly higher-ranked Denver-FAS (#9, 4-5) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. 11 Lobos dropped in the standings to 11th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 3-6 record. Montavious is one of the most experienced players at 11 Lobos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Cojute's star - American Scott Sill (206-F-92). Sill showcased his all-around game by recording 28 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the last round. He was another key player of Cojute, helping his team with a 97-85 win against the higher-ranked Quezaltepeque (#5, 6-3). Cojute needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Sill has a very solid season. In 4 games in El Salvador he scored 19.8ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Quincy Scates (197-SF-89) of Quezaltepeque - 27 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Michael Hinestroza Javes (208-F-90) of Isidro Metapan - 6 points and 22 rebounds
6. Shawn Hampton (187-PG) of 11 Lobos - 19 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists
7. Anthony Brown (193-PG-89) of Denver-FAS - 29 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Mario Gonzalez (183-SG-94) of 11 Lobos - 13 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Luis Damian Morales (191-F-88) of Denver-FAS - 27 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Brandon Golden (193-G) of Cojute - 16 points, 5 rebounds and 18 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
