Guard Brandon Golden (193-G) had a very impressive game in the last round for Cojute and receives a Latinbasket.com Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 25.
He had the game-high 34 points adding eight rebounds and eight assists for Cojute in his team's victory, helping them to crush Giants (#15, 2-14) with 25-point margin 104-79. Thanks to this victory Cojute moved-up to the 8th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. Cojute is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-8 record. In the team's last game Golden had a remarkable 64.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Cojute, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Midwestern State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Golden is league's best passer with 8.7apg. Golden is in league's top in and averages solid 3.3spg.

Second best performed player last round was Jordan Johnson (183-PG-92) of San Miguel. He is American guard in his first season at San Miguel. In the last game Johnson recorded impressive 32 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as San Miguel was edged by the higher-ranked Canarios (#5, 10-6) 79-77. San Miguel is still in a red zone at 14th spot in the standings. 13 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories San Miguel managed to get this year. Johnson is one of the most experienced players at San Miguel and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 26.6ppg (#7). His other stats are also decent: 8.5rpg and 4.8apg.

Third place about best performers goes to James Milton (203-C/F) of Giants (#15). Milton scored 25 points and grabbed thirteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Milton's great performance Giants lost 79-104 to the higher-ranked Cojute (#8, 8-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Giants can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 2-14 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Milton he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Milton has a very solid season. In 7 games in El Salvador he scored 16.1ppg. He also has 13.0rpg and FGP: 53.5%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Duane James (196-F-83) of Isidro Metapan - 27 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Eddie Ishman (196-F-86) of El Rapido - 37 points and 5 rebounds
6. Anthony Moe (206-F/C) of Cojute - 25 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
7. David Lawson (185-PG-89) of Canarios - 32 points and 7 assists
8. Tobias Dowdell (201-F-90) of Santa Ana - 23 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Malcolm Tatum (188-G) of Santa Ana - 30 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists

The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
