Joseph
Antoine
Guard Brandon Golden (193-G) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Cojute and receives a Latinbasket.com Liga MB Player of the Week award for round 28.
He got a double-double of 32 points and 12 assists, while his team outclassed Sonsonate (#8, 9-9) with 30-point margin 110-80. Cojute is placed at 6th position in Salvadorean Liga MB. Cojute is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-8 record. In the team's last game Golden had a remarkable 70.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Cojute, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Midwestern State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Golden is in league's top in points (8th best: 25.5ppg) and averages solid 3.6spg and 50.6% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Anthony Moe (206-F/C). He is American forward in his first season at Cojute. In the last game Moe recorded impressive double-double of 33 points and 12 rebounds. Of course together with Golden he helped Cojute with another comfortable win outscoring slightly lower-ranked Sonsonate (#8, 9-9) 110-80. This victory allowed Cojute to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 9-8 record is not bad and everything may still change. Moe is one of the most experienced players at Cojute and similarly like Brandon Golden has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 25.2ppg (#9). He also registered 13.2 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Joseph Antoine (203-PF-84) of 11 Lobos (#11). Antoine got into 30-points club by scoring 37 points in the last round. He went also for seventeen rebounds and four assists. Despite Antoine's great performance 11 Lobos lost 93-96 to the higher-ranked Canarios (#5, 11-6). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of 11 Lobos not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 11 games, recording just six victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Antoine could try to bring 11 Lobos' a little bit higher in the standings. Antoine has a very solid season. In 15 games in El Salvador he scored 18.3ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Abilio Vadillo (180-G-78) of Arcense - 47 points and 12 rebounds
5. Tobias Dowdell (201-F-90) of Santa Ana - 20 points, 13 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Lisvan Valdez (200-PF-88) of Santa Tecla - 27 points and 9 rebounds
7. A Brewer) of Halcones - 37 points and 7 rebounds
8. James Milton (203-C/F) of Giants - 24 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
9. David Lawson (185-PG-89) of Canarios - 35 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Jeffery Moss (193-PF-93) of Halcones - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
