Isidro Metapan rallied past Canarios to gain the lead in the series. It was a great shooting night for Isidro Metapan especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Canarios' players. American players dominated also this game. Forward Keion Palmer (208, college: Jacksonville) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and point guard Robert Sandoval (183-91, college: Azusa Pacific) chipped in 33 points (!!!), 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Isidro Metapan's coach Darwin Veliz allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side guard Wali Hepburn (193-89, college: Lock Haven) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 12 rebounds and center Reginald Brown (202-91) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures.

Cojute upset Halcones in the opener. Cojute outrebounded Halcones 71-59 including 29 on the offensive glass. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Anthony Moe (206, college: Millersville) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds. Forward Scott Sill (206-92, college: Delaware St.) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 21 rebounds for the winners. Jeffery Moss (193-93, college: Murray St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 29 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists and power forward Raymond Miller (204-88, college: CS Fullerton) added 15 points, 14 rebounds and 9 blocks in the effort for Halcones.

American guard Christopher Blake (196-88, college: Detroit Mercy) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 14 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Garland McArthur (197-88, college: Voorhees) chipped in 18 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side American Thomas Alexander (197, college: Arkansas Tech) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Nigerian-American center Olaniyi Akingkube (208, college: N.Carolina A&T) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. Denver-FAS's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.

Marlon Aguilera (91) had a very impressive game in the last round for Thunder and that's him to receive a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10.
