An interesting game for Halcones (13-3) which hosted in Sonzacate 4th placed Quezaltepeque (11-5). Second ranked Halcones managed to get a 12-point victory 90-78. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Quezaltepeque. Halcones dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Quezaltepeque's 38. They outrebounded Quezaltepeque 46-32 including 17 on the offensive glass. It was a good game for Puerto Rican guard Cliff Duran (191-89, agency: Paris Global Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 12 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals. Puerto Rican guard Jared Ruiz (188-92) contributed with 29 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. American Quincy Scates (197-89, college: Tenn Wesleyan) answered with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for Quezaltepeque. Halcones have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain second place with 13-3 record behind leader Santa Tecla. Quezaltepeque at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Halcones will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Quezaltepeque will play at home against Canarios (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last two games of round 21 Arcense were beaten by El Rapido on the road 94-78. 11 Lobos lost to Cojute on its own court 86-90.

The game between sixth ranked Isidro Metapan (10-6) and 13th ranked Giants (1-15) in Metapan ended with biggest points difference. Isidro Metapan beat guests from San Salvador 90-72. Isidro Metapan dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Giants' 26 and made 24-of-29 charity shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Giants 38-27 including a 13-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Venezuelan forward Elder Gimenez (186-91) stepped up and scored 28 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and Venezuelan guard Edwin Mijares (186-94) chipped in 21 points and 12 assists. No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked El Rapido (8-9) beat 10th ranked Arcense (3-10) in La Union 94-78. El Rapido had a 32-21 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Cuban point guard Osmel Oliva (178-87) stepped up and scored 32 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners and Venezuelan power forward Eliezer Montano (206-91) chipped in 23 points and 10 rebounds. Four El Rapido players scored in double figures. El Rapido's coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Quezaltepeque Biomedical (Liga MB) landed experienced 37-year old former international center Julio Mancia (202-80) from Santa Tecla BC. In 27 Liga MB games he averaged 3.8ppg and 3.5rpg last season.
