Argentina announced their twelve players for the 2010 FIBA-Americas U18 Championship for Men to be played from June 26-30 in San Antonio, Texas. The games will have live video streaming on

The twelve finalists are:

-Juan Jos Giaveno (Tiro Federal de Morteros)
Born: 22/02/1992. Height: 1,75 m. Position: PG.

-Lucas Daniel Machuca (Sionista de Paran)
Born: 07/01/1992. Height: 1,78 m. Position: PG.

-Nicols Copello (Boca Juniors de Buenos Aires)
Born: 11/02/1992. Height: 1,93 m. Position: PG-escolta.

-Mateo Bolvar (Sirio Libans de Pergamino)

Head coach Eduardo Japez said: 'We have been working for a long time. We have to be optimistic until the end so we want to be in the top four spots. After that we will see how is everything going. I am confident of the group that we have'.

Argentina is in Group B along with Mexico, USA and US Virgin Islands.

The top four teams qualify for the 2011 FIBA U19 World Championship for Men.

FINAL USA - Canada 99-84 The USA repeated as FIBA Americas champions. They overcame their North American rivals Canada in the title game in Valdivia. Markelle Fultz (195-SG-98) stepped up with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the champions. The USA eked out a narrow 48:44 halftime lead. SEMIFINALS USA - Brazil 88-48 The USA advanced into the tournament's championship game. The defending champions eased past Brazil in the semis. Mitchell Porter (203-G-98) finished with 17 points to lead the charge. The USA built a 40:26 halftime lead.
