Brazil - Canada 68-59
Brazil grabbed another victory in San Juan securing the FIBA Americas Championship Semifinals. There is another very important thing - Brazil already booked a spot for 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. Canada fell to 1-4 record. Leandrinho Barbosa (190-G-82) was on fire for the winners with 31 points. Marcelinho Huertas (191-G-83, agency: Edge Sports) had 10, while all other players were below 9. Levon Kendall (209-F-84, college: Pittsburgh) collected 12 points and 7 rebounds in defeat. Joel Anthony (206-C-82, college: UNLV) and Olu Famutimi (197-G-84, college: Arkansas) netted 10 pts each.

Panama - Uruguay 83-77
Panama outplayed Uruguay keeping its hope for the Semifinals alive. This was a nice chance for Uruguay to jump on 3-2, but they did not make it. Now Uruguay and Dominican Republic are on the same record (2-3), while Canada and Panama follow with 1-4 and there are two more games to be played. Warren Green (194-G/F-79, agency: ProSportsCareers, college: Missouri So.) stepped up in victory with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Joel Munoz (179-G-80) was behind him with 21 pts and 6 assists, while Danilo Pinnock (196-G-83, agency: SportsTalent, college: George Washington) added 18 pts and 7 rebs. Esteban Batista (208-F/C-83) responded with 18 points and 11 rebounds in loss. Gustavo Barrera (194-G-85) contributed with 15.

Argentina - Mexico 77-65
It seems that Argentina is on the right track to the Semifinals and 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. After poor start, Argentineans woke up and now they have nice 4-1 record. Mexico fell to 0-5, staying out of the Semis. Luis Scola (206-F/C-80) once again led his team collecting 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Federico Kammerichs (204-F-80) and Leonardo Gutierrez (200-F-78) posted 14 pts each (Kammerichs 11 rebs). In Team Mexico, Gustavo Ayon (209-F/C-85, college: San Jose St.) had 18 points and 9 rebounds. Noe Alonzo (200-F-83, college: Grand Canyon) added 14 pts and 8 boards.

Dominican Republic - Puerto Rico 76-85
Puerto Rico remains unbeaten in San Juan booking a spot for FIBA Americans Semifinals as well as for the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. That was the main goal for this team and despite there is two more games to be played in the Quarterfinal round, they already made it. Dominican Republic fell to 2-3, but it still has chance to reach the Semifinals. Carlos Arroyo (188-G-79, college: Florida Intern.) top-scored in victory with 17 pts. He also had 6 rebounds and 5 assists beside that. Larry Elias Ayuso (190-G-77, agency: Global Sports Plaza, college: USC) posted 16 and Ricardo Sanchez (212-C/F-87) added 11 pts. Charlie Villanueva (209-F-84, college: Connecticut) was on fire in defeat with 21 pts. Alfred Horford (208-F/C-86, college: Florida) registered double-double, 18 pts and 10 rebounds.
