All three NBA players will be part of the first training camp of the Dominican Republic in the United States. The question of insuring the three NBA-players has apparently been solved and Horford, Villanueva and Garcia will be part of the team heading to Mar del Plata in late August this year. Head coach John Calipari invited the following players for the first stage to Kentucky:
Edgar Sosa (188-G-88, college: Louisville), Francisco Garcia (201-F/G-81, college: Louisville), Alfred Horford (208-F/C-86, college: Florida), Charlie Villanueva (209-F-84, college: Connecticut), Jon Horford (205-F), Luis Flores (188-G-81, college: Manhattan), Giancarlos Acosta (198-G/F-85), Jack Michael Martinez (203-F/C-81, agency: Paris Global Sports), Kelvin Pena (193-G-80, college: Southeastern CC), Ricardo Soliver (191-G-84, college: Iona), Sean Ogirri (188-G-86, college: Wyoming), Ronald Ramon (185-G-86, college: Pittsburgh), Eloy Vargas (208-F), Elys Manuel Guzman (206-F/C-82, college: Bemidji St.), Manuel Fortuna, Eulis Baez (201-F-82, college: W.Illinois), Dagoberto Pena (183-G-83), Juan Pablo Montas (198-F-84) and Luis Martinez (198-F-84, college: William Pater.).
Players will be evaluated by Calipari and his staff, starting August, 2nd at the University of Kentucky and and a test game against an all-star team made up of former Wildcats-players.
