Edgar Sosa
Edgar Sosa (188-PG-88, college: Louisville) will miss the entire 2011/12 season due to a very serious injury. The Dominican Republic point guard broke his right leg tibia bone during the game against Panama. There was something more than 30 seconds remaining in the game and Dominicans had comfortable lead. Sosa will undergo surgery today. The injury was so shocking that players from both teams were visibly crying on the court. Coach John Calipari is devastated and showed his emotion with tears in his eyes.
Edgar Sosa signed a one-year deal with Fabi Shoes Montegranaro this summer. He spent the last one with Angelico Biella. For 30 games in SerieA Sosa averaged 14.1 points, 1.4 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.3 steals. He was named Eurobasket.com All-Italian SerieA Honorable Mention -11 and participated at the SerieA All-Star Game. Edgar Sosa graduated at the University of Louisville a year ago.

Here you can watch the video of this shocking injury.
