Mexico - Puerto Rico 92-86
Mexico stayed on the winning track at the Fiba Americas tournament. They topped Puerto Rico to take 4-0 record in the Second Stage ladder. Hector Hernandez (205-PF-85, college: Fresno St., agency: Pro Sports) scored 28 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to pace the effort. Mexico accumulated a 47:42 halftime lead. The hosts poured in 45 points in the second half and marched to the victory. Francisco Cruz and Jorge Gutierrez (190-G-88, college: California, agency: Wasserman Media) delivered 15 points each for the hosts. Angel Daniel Vassallo (198-G/F-86, college: Virginia Tech, agency: ASM Sports) responded with 27 points for Puerto Rico.

Canada - Panama 103-66
Canada coasted to the fourth straight victory at the tournament. They thumped Panama at the start of the Second Stage. Brady Heslip (188-SG-90, college: Baylor, agency: Athlete Management Group) nailed 23 points to pace the North American team. Canada posted a 42:23 halftime lead. They erupted for 35 points in the third term to build a 24-point cushion at the final break. Canada dominated in the fourth term and raced to the win. Andrew Wiggins (203-G-95, college: Kansas, agency: BDA Sports) tossed in 17 points for Canada. Jonathan King (198-G/F-90) responded with 13 points for Panama.

Argentina - Uruguay 90-87
Argentina survived a tough test versus Uruguay to remain undefeated in Mexico City. Luis Scola (206-F/C-80, agency: AAI Sports) scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the winners. Uruguay jumped to a 44:37 halftime lead. Argentina responded with a 29-point effort in the third term to pull within a single point. They dropped 24 points in the fourth period to get away with the victory. Andres Nocioni (202-SF-79, agency: AAI Sports) connected for 22 points and 8 rebounds in the win. Mathias Calfani (202-C-92, agency: Pro Sports) responded with 20 points and 17 rebounds for Uruguay.

Dominican Republic - Venezuela 68-72
Venezuela held off Dominican Republic for 2-2 record in the Second Stage standings. Nestor Colmenares (203-PF-87, college: Campbellsville, agency: Pro Sports) posted 19 points and grabbed 6 rebounds to lead the effort. Venezuela recorded a 39:28 halftime lead. They extended the margin at 14-point mark heading into the fourth quarter. Dominican Republic exploded with 25 points in the fourth term but could not avoid the loss. Windi Graterol (204-C-86, agency: Pro Sports) netted 11 points in the win. Edgar Sosa (190-PG-88, college: Louisville, agency: Duran International) responded with 21 points for Dominican Republic.
