The male teams agreed to play the quarterfinals on a single-game basis, this mean that who wins the game advances immediately to the semifinals, that will be, instead, best of 3 games. Defeating USAC in the last game, Elite Sport ended the Liga Metropolitana-Clausura regular season undefeated, with a 11-0 record and 22 points in teh table. The game vs. USAC ended 82-58 (partial scores 18-11, 35-16 and 56-27) and Alejandro Carrillo (191-F-88) confirmed his great shape, leading all the scorers at 26 ponts. Paulo Castillo (199-C-78) added 20 points at the Elite Sport side, while Walter Orellana (-G) was the best in USAC, with 17 pts.

Corado coached his team and won the game, and it is not over yet, there are rumors that the main Guatemalan teams could leave soon this Liga Metropolitana, founding a brand new league, with not more than 5 or 6 well organized, dynamic clubs.
