German team Bayreuth announced signing of the former Canadian National Team player Osvaldo Jeanty (183-G-84, agency: Interperformances). The 26-year old guard, who has Haitian citizenship as well, is coming to Bayreuth from LTi Giessen 46ers, where he spent second half of 2009/10 season. Jeanty appeared 14 times in the German top division averaging 13.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists. His new team, Bayreuth, was the second division winner last season and will compete in 1.Bundesliga in the next one. Bayreuth registered 24 wins in 30 games, what was enough for the first place. Osvaldo Jeanty started last season with Giants Noerdlingen (Germany-second division), but in October moved to Romanian Gaz Metan Medias. Finally, he joined Giessen in January. From 2007 to October 2009 Jeanty was a member of Noerdlingen. With them he was the German 2.Bundesliga Pro A Regular Season Champion. In 2009, Jeanty was the German Bundesliga All-Star Game 3-Point Shootout Winner Osvaldo Jeanty is a product of Carleton University. In his senior season (2006/07) Jeanty averaged 17.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 21 games. He was CIS All-Canadian Player of the Year -06, 07. In 2006 and 2007 Jeanty was a member of the Canadian National Team. He played for them at the Panamerican Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) -07. In five games on this event he averaged 1 ppg.

Gino Lanisse (200-F-81) is back to BBC Nyon. The Haitian/Swiss forward penned a deal for the upcoming season. He played for BBC Nyon from 2005 to 2009 and before that in 2003/04 season. Lanisse missed 2011/12 and before that he spent one year with Jump Union Neuchatel. The player averaged 13.8 points and 8.2 rebounds for 19 LNB games. There he had 5.7 ppg and 4.7 rpg for 29 games in LNA. As mentioned above, Lanisse spent five years with BBC Nyon. He had 4.3 ppg and 3.1 rpg in 2008/09. They reached Swiss League Cup Finals that year.
Palma Air Europa (LEB Silver) strengthened their roster with addition of 34-year old Haitian-USA center Robert Joseph (204-100kg-78, college: Union, TN). He played most recently at Mad-Croc Fuenlabrada (ACB). Joseph is a very experienced player. He graduated Union University in 2002 and it will be his 11th season in pro basketball.
