We bring you last week's top performances from Jamaicans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.

Roy Hibbert
Roy Hibbert
#1. This week's number one is former international center Roy Hibbert (218-86, college: Georgetown), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the Indiana Pacers (42-24) in their last game. Despite Hibbert's good performance the Indiana Pacers were edged in an overtime 109-106 on the road by the Philadelphia 76ers. He recorded 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and made 2 blocks in 34 minutes on the court. The Regular Season already ended in the NBA. It's Hibbert's fourth season with the team. Hibbert is ranked fifth on the list of the best blockers in the league with 2.0bpg. He also averaged so far 12.8ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.7apg, 2FGP: 49.8% and FT: 71.1% in the 65 games he played so far. Hibbert is a naturalized American. Despite he played previously for the USA national team, Hibbert played also for the Jamaican national team in 2010.

Samardo Samuels
Samardo Samuels
#2. Second place goes to former international power forward Samardo Samuels (206-89, college: Louisville). He led Cleveland Cavaliers to a victory against the New York Knicks (35-30) 98-90 in the NBA last Friday. Samuels scored 15 points and blocked 2 shots; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his second season in pro basketball. The Cleveland Cavaliers have rather weak 21-44 record this season. Samuels' team will play only one more game in the NBA Regular Season. And that game will be critical. It's Samuels' first year with the team. This season he averages: 5.4ppg, 3.4rpg, 2FGP: 45.3% and FT: 69.8%. Despite Samuels played previously for the USA national team, he played also for the Jamaican national team in 2009.

Oritseweyinmi Efejuku

#3. The Jamaican player who performed third best last week abroad was former international guard Oritseweyinmi Efejuku (196-86, college: Providence). Efejuku led Indios to a victory over the closely-ranked Capitanes (13-10) 83-78 in the Puerto Rican BSN on Tuesday night. He was MVP of the game. Efejuku scored 23 points, had 4 boards, dished 6 assists and stole 6 balls in 32 minutes; not bad, considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Indios de Mayaguez (19-6) is placed first in the BSN. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Efejuku has relatively good stats this year: 14.0ppg, 3.3rpg, 2.9apg, 1.2spg, 2FGP: 57.2%(87-152), 3FGP: 22.9% and FT: 74.7% in the 19 games. He has a dual citizenship: Nigerian and Jamaican.
