Sherman Gay joins ESSM Le Portel Cote dOpale - Jul 3, 2012

ESSM Le Portel Cote dOpale (ProB) signed 30-year old Jamaican-American Sherman Gay (201-PF-82, college: Loyola Mary). Gay played most recently at Fos Ouest Provence Basket (ProB). While playing 40 games for Fos Ouest last season his stats were: 14.8ppg, 6.4rpg, 1.2apg and 1.7bpg (2nd best in the league). He helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very impressive season as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Honorable Mention. Gay played also pro basketball in Hungary and Italy. He graduated Loyola Marymount University in 2004 and it will be his nineth season in pro basketball.

Jean D'Arc Vichy Clermont Metropole (ProB) inked 25-year old American (has also Jamaican passport) guard T.J. Sapp (190-86kg-92, college: Murray State, agency: Duran International). He already started the season at Kangoeroes in Belgian Euromillions League. In 12 games he averaged 10.3ppg, 3.6rpg and 2.2apg this season.
