We bring you last week's top performances from Jamaicans who are playing abroad and who all have had prior experience of national team duties at youth or senior level.
#1. This week's number one is an experienced international center Kimany Ffriend (211-77, agency: Three Eye Sports, college: Nebraska, currently plays in Serbia). Ffriend led Metalac to a victory over the 12th-ranked Sloga (0-2) 74-59 in the Serbian A League last Saturday.
He was MVP of the game. Ffriend scored 18 points. It was his first game for Metalac this season.
His team is placed second in the A League.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
It's Ffriend's first year with the team.
He played for the Jamaican senior national team years ago.
#2. Second place goes to an international forward Corey Muirhead (197-83, college: W.Carolina, currently plays in Czech Republic). Muirhead was the main contributor in a BK Pardubice's victory against the closely-ranked Levice (3-1) 86-80 in the Czech Republic NBL on Wednesday night.
He was the best player in that game. Muirhead scored 19 points, had 6 rebounds and dished 5 assists in 36 minutes.
It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. BK JIP Pardubice (3-0) is placed third in the NBL.
So far his team won all three games in the Regular Season.
But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen.
Muirhead is currently fifth on the league's list of best rebounders with 9.0rpg.
This year his other stats are: 14.0ppg, 3.7apg, 1.7spg, 2FGP: 56.0%(14-25) and FT: 72.7% in the three games he played so far.
Muirhead has a dual citizenship: Canadian and Jamaican.
Despite he played previously for the Canadian national team, Muirhead played also for the Jamaican national team in 2012.
#3. The Jamaican player who performed third best last week abroad was an international point guard Bryan Bailey (185-80, college: Bucknell, currently plays in Germany). He contributed to a BBC Bayreuth's victory against the ninth-ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (2-2) 94-82 in the German BBL in Saturday night's game.
Bailey recorded 15 points and added 5 passes (made all of his eight free throws).
BBC Bayreuth (4-0) is placed first in the BBL.
So far his team won all four games in the Regular Season.
But there are still lots of games to play and it's a long way to go.
It's Bailey's first season with the team.
Bailey is ranked sixth on the list of the best passers in the league.
He has very reliable stats this season: 13.3ppg, 3.8rpg, 4.0apg, 1.3spg, 2FGP: 41.2% and FT: 85.7%.
Bailey is a naturalized American.
Despite he played previously for the USA national team, Bailey played also for the Jamaican national team in 2012.
#4. Forward Patrick Ewing Jr. (203-84, college: Georgetown, currently plays in Germany) helped Telekom Baskets win their game against the 15th-ranked New Yorker Phantoms (1-3) 83-66 in the German BBL last Saturday.
He was the top player that evening. Ewing Jr. had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 11 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) in 21 minutes.
Telekom Baskets Bonn (2-1) is placed seventh in the BBL.

Ewing Jr. is currently fifth on the list of best rebounders with 7.7rpg.
This year he also averages: 10.7ppg and 1.3apg in the three games.
Ewing Jr. is a naturalized American.
Despite he played previously for the USA national team, Ewing Jr. is currently in the Jamaican national team roster.
#5. International guard Oritseweyinmi Efejuku (196-86, college: Providence, currently plays in Mexico), who plays in the Mexican LNBP (second division) could not help Fuerza Regia (5-7) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his very good performance Fuerza Regia was defeated 107-101 on the road by the lower-ranked Guerreros (#13).
Efejuku was the top scorer with 32 points. He also added 4 assists.

Efejuku has individually a very good season with high stats. He averages: 21.8ppg, 2.3rpg and 2.8apg.
Efejuku is another player who holds two passports: Nigerian and Jamaican.
Despite he played previously for the Nigerian national team, Efejuku is currently in the Jamaican national team roster.
#6. Forward Orane Chin (200-88, college: CS Fullerton, currently plays in Denmark) was the major contributor in Bakken's victory against the sixth-ranked Aarhus BC (3-4) crushing them 105-77 in a derby game in the Danish Ligaen in Thursday night's game.
He had a double-double by scoring 23 points and getting 10 rebounds in 24 minutes; quite an impressive performance considering it's only Chin's first season in pro basketball. Bakken Bears (6-0) is placed first in the Ligaen.
So far his team won all six games in the Regular Season.

Chin has very impressive stats this year: 17.5ppg, 8.0rpg and 1.2spg in the six games.
He is international player as he played for the Jamaican senior team years ago.
#7. International point guard Akeem Scott (186-83, college: High Point, currently plays in Mexico) helped Pioneros win their game against the 14th-ranked Osos (2-11) crushing them 118-65 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) last Saturday.
He recorded 19 points and added 7 assists.
Pioneros de Quintana Roo-Cancun (11-11) is placed fifth in the LNBP.

This season Scott has very high stats. He averages: 16.3ppg, 3.3rpg, 4.3apg and 1.3spg.
Scott is a naturalized American.
Worth to mention Scott played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. Despite he played previously for the USA national team, Scott is currently in the Jamaican national team roster.
#8. Forward McHugh Mattis (198-84, college: S.Florida, currently plays in Mexico), who plays in the Mexican LNBP (second division) was not able to help Abejas (8-5) in their last game. Despite his very good performance Abejas was badly defeated 87-71 at home by the higher-ranked (#5) Panteras.
Mattis had a double-double by scoring 15 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 5 blocks and 3 steals in 29 minutes.

Mattis is currently seventh on the league's list of best rebounders and also on the list of best blockers (third place).
This year he has very good stats: 14.9ppg, 8.8rpg, 1.5bpg and 1.8spg in the 12 games.
Mattis is a naturalized American.
Despite he played previously for the USA national team, Mattis is currently in the Jamaican national team roster.
#9. International forward Jermaine Bucknor (199-83, college: Richmond, currently plays in Germany) helped TBB Trier win their game against the 16th-ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (1-3) 78-59 in the German BBL in Sunday night's game.
He recorded 13 points.
TBB Trier (2-1) is placed sixth in the BBL.

Bucknor's overall stats this season are: 7.3ppg and 2.3rpg.
Despite he played previously for the Canadian national team, Bucknor is currently in the Jamaican national team roster.
#10. Power forward Sherman Gay (201-82, college: Loyola Mary, currently plays in France) helped Le Portel win their game against the 14th-ranked Bordeaux (1-3) 77-69 in the French ProB (second division) last Friday.
He scored 14 points, had 7 rebounds and made 4 blocks in 36 minutes.
ESSM Le Portel Cote d'Opale (2-2) is placed ninth in the ProB.

Gay has very impressive stats this year: 16.8ppg, 5.0rpg and 1.3bpg in the four games.
He is a naturalized American.
Despite Gay played previously for the USA national team, he is also a former international player as seven years ago he still played for the Jamaican senior national team.
#11. Former international forward Ronald Yates (201-83, college: St.Peter's, currently plays in Switzerland) helped Fribourg win their game against the eighth-ranked Neuchatel 69-61 in the Swiss LNA on Sunday night.
Yates recorded 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists. It was his first game for Fribourg this season.
Yates is a naturalized American.
Despite he played previously for the USA national team, Yates is currently in the Jamaican national team roster.
#12. Former international center Kevin Young (206-84, college: Missouri, currently plays in Japan) was not able to secure a victory for Aishin Sea Horses in their game against Hitachi Sunrockers in the Japanese JBL.
He was the second best scorer with 8 points. Young also added 8 rebounds in 17 minutes.
His team were badly defeated by 18 points 67-49.
Young belongs to league's best rebounders (ranked #7) and also on the list of best blockers (fifth place).
This year his overall stats are: 9.0ppg, 7.3rpg and 1.3apg in the four games.
Young used to play for the Jamaican national team
back in 2006.
#13. Former international guard Ricky Johns (193-85, college: Utah, currently plays in Mexico) helped Lechugueros win their game against the fifth-ranked Panteras 90-72 in the Mexican LNBP (second division) last Thursday.
He scored 11 points and added 4 passes.
Johns' total stats this season are: 9.6ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.5apg.
He used to play for the Jamaican national team
two years ago.
#14. Former international center Hugh Robinson (202-83, currently plays in Sweden), who plays in the Swedish Basketettan (second division) couldn't help Brahe Basket (3-1) in their last game. Despite Robinson's very good performance the fourth-placed Brahe Basket lost 71-86 on their home court in Huskvarna to the much lower-ranked (#11) IK Eos in the South group.
He had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 10 rebounds. Robinson also added 8 blocks in 24 minutes.
Robinson is currently first on the league's list of best blockers with 3.5bpg.
This year his other stats are: 12.3ppg and 7.0rpg in the four games.
Robinson used to play for the Jamaican national team
back in 2010.
#15. International power forward Ryan Reid (203-86, college: Florida St., currently plays in France) couldn't help Chorale de Roanne in their game against Sluc Nancy in the French ProA.
He scored 5 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.
His team was defeated 58-45.
Reid's total stats this season are: 4.5ppg and 4.0rpg.
He is a naturalized American.
Reid is also in the roster of the Jamaican national team.
One more player who has never been selected to any of national teams, but has Jamaican passport:
#1.Adrian Uter (200-F/C-84, agency: Gross Zeev ISA, college: Hofstra, currently plays in Israel) led Maccabi Rishon to a victory over the ninth-ranked Galil Gilboa (0-1) 70-54 in the Israeli Winner League in Sunday night's game.
He was MVP of the game. Uter had a double-double by scoring 17 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 5 blocks in 36 minutes. It was his first game for Maccabi Rishon this season.
His team is placed third in the Winner League.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Uter is currently sixth on the league's list of best rebounders and also on the list of best blockers (first place).
He is a naturalized American.

The game lived up to its billing as Knights' late game charge just came up short when Granville Jaguars overturned a first-quarter deficit. Both teams qualified for the national play-offs set to start soon. Just two players scored in double figures for Granville Jaguars. Levar Rose led all scorers with 23 points and Dave Black (180-G-85), had 21 points, but the latter missed two free throws with 18 seconds that would have put the game out of the reach of Knights. Knights led 19-13 after the first quarter, but Jaguars rallied in the second quarter and led by three points (35-32) at the half-time break. That lead however, was cut to just one (49-48) at the end of the third quarter. Both teams had scoring runs in the fourth quarter as Granville started the fourth quarter with a 7-1 run in the first two-and-half minutes, but Knights responded with a seven-to-two run of their own to cut the deficit to one point (58-57) with under five-and-a-half minutes left in the game. The margin stayed at three points for the final two minutes and 35 seconds of the game as Knights' Jhaun Bryan missed the second of two free throws that would have cut the lead to two points with 50 seconds to go, while Black missed two free-throws with 18 seconds left on the clock. Leroy Lawrence also had eight points for Granville and 10 rebounds, while Brendan Dawkins came off the bench to score eight points. Cleon Morgan and Ryan Harrison both scored four points and had seven rebounds. Ralique Grant and Karlington Barrett both scored 14 points for Knights, Bryan had 11 points and five rebounds, Ryan Gardner had eight points and 14 rebounds, while Antonio Spence scored eight points and nine rebounds.
