Jerome Jordan signs at Bighorns - Dec 19, 2012

Reno Bighorns landed 26-year old Jamaican international center Jerome Jordan (213-100kg-86, college: Tulsa). He already started the season at Memphis Grizzlies in the NBA. Jordan managed to play in three leagues in two countries last year (!!!). He also spent pre-season at the Rockets earlier that year. Jordan was tried-out by the Knicks earlier that season. Part of last season he spent at Erie Bay Hawks. In 8 D-League games he averaged impressive 18.6ppg, 8.0rpg, 1.5apg and 2.5bpg. Jordan also played at Krka in Slovenian league earlier that season. In four Eurocup games he had 11.8ppg, 7.3rpg, 1.5apg and 1.3bpg. He also played 10 games in Adriatic League where he had 12.2ppg and 5.2rpg.
His team won Slovenian Supercup.
Jordan received Latinbasket.com All-Centrobasket 2nd Team award in 2012.
The previous (10-11) season Jordan played at KK Vrsac (previous name Vrsac) in Serbian A League. The team played in four different competitions (!!!) that year, and he had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 9 A League games he had 9.6ppg, 4.7rpg and 1.0bpg. Jordan also played 4 games in Euroleague where he had 8.5ppg and 2.5rpg. He also played 12 games in Eurocup where he had 6.7ppg and 2.8rpg. Jordan also played 25 games in Adriatic League where he had 7.8ppg and 3.8rpg.
Two years ago he was drafted by Milwaukee Bucks (NBA) in second round (44th overall). The former University of Tulsa standout is in his third season in pro basketball. He also represented Jamaica at the Centrobasket in San Juan (Puerto Rico) this year. Jordans team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 6 games: 10.7ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.0apg, Blocks-2(1.8bpg), FGP: 52.4%, 3PT: 50.0%, FT: 73.9%.

RYAN REID St. John's Edge (NBL Canada) tabbed 31-year old Jamaican ex-international power forward Ryan Reid (204-107kg-86, college: Florida State). He played most recently at Shimane Susanoo Magic in Japanese B2 League. In 63 games he averaged 8.2ppg, 6.4rpg and 1.2apg last season. Reid helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final. Granville Jaguars and Catherine Hall All-Stars made winning starts to the Jamaica Basketball Association's National Basketball League-Western Conference with wins over new- comers Cornwall Courts Chargers and Inner-city Avalanche, respectively, at Montego Bay Cricket Club on Sunday. Granville shook off a slow start to beat Cornwall Courts 62-55, while Catherine Hall held off Avalanche 63-59.
