Telekom Baskets Bonn (BBL) cut 28-year old Jamaican international forward Patrick Ewing Jr. (203-108kg-84, college: Georgetown). He has a double citizenship as he also holds American passport. In 12 BBL games he played this season he averaged 11.5ppg, 6.1rpg and 1.8apg. Ewing Jr. also played 6 games in EuroChallenge where he had 7.8ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.7apg.
The last season he played at Iowa Energy in D-League. In 19 games last year he had 8.3ppg, 4.4rpg, 1.3apg and 1.1spg. Ewing Jr. also played at Sioux Falls Skyforce in D-League that season. In 11 games he had 10.1ppg, 4.3rpg, 2.8apg and 1.1spg. The other team he played that season for were the Hornets in NBA. In 11 games he had 10.1ppg, 4.3rpg and 2.7apg.
The most of previous (10-11) season Ewing Jr. spent at Bighorns in D-League. In 25 games that year he had very impressive stats: 15.7ppg, 8.4rpg, 3.2apg, 1.6spg and 1.2bpg. It was a very successful season in his career as he was selected to USBasket.com All-D-League 2nd Team, 3rd Team and to the All-Star Game. Another team Ewing Jr. played that season for were the Knicks in NBA. In 25 games he had also great stats: 15.7ppg, 8.4rpg and 3.2apg.
In 2008 he was drafted by Sacramento Kings (NBA) in second round (43rd overall). Ewing Jr. attended Georgetown University and it is his fifth season in pro basketball.
Among other achievements His team won Big East Regular Season for two years in a row (2007 and 2008). Ewing Jr. also represented Jamaica at the Centrobasket in San Juan (Puerto Rico) this year. His team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 6 games: 8.8ppg, 7.2rpg, 1.7apg, 1.3spg, FGP: 34.4%, 3PT: 29.2%, FT: 71.4%.
Ewing Jr. has played previously professionally in NBA (New Orleans Hornets, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks) and D-League (Reno Bighorns).

JDF continue march through Southern basketball league - May 6, 2016

The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) continued to surprise in the Southern Basketball Conference (SBC) League, scoring their fourth straight win after beating former champions Majesty Gardens, 83-70, on Monday at the Tony Spaulding Complex. Bayamon adds Scott to their roster - May 5, 2016

Vaqueros de Bayamon (BSN) added to their roster 26-year old Jamaican ex-international swingman Durand Scott (196-92kg-90, college: Miami, FL). He is a dual citizen owning also American passport. Scott moved there from Enel Brindisi in Italian Serie A where he started the season. In 26 games he recorded 13.3ppg, 4.8rpg, 1.5apg and 1.1spg this season. Jean D'Arc Vichy Clermont Metropole (ProB) signed 34-year old American (has also Jamaican passport) power forward Sherman Gay (201-82, college: Loyola Mary). He started the season at Salon Vilpas in Finnish Korisliiga. In 16 games he had very impressive stats: 15.6ppg, 6.1rpg, 1.1spg and 1.0bpg this season. The last season Gay played at Saint-Quentin.
