Samuels
Cleveland Cavaliers waived 24-year old Jamaican ex-international power forward Samardo Samuels (206-122kg-89, college: Louisville). In 17 NBA games he played this season he recorded 3.4ppg and 1.6rpg. Samuels also played at Canton Charge earlier that season. In two D-League games this year he averaged impressive 20.5ppg, 10.5rpg, 2.5apg, 1.5spg and 1.5bpg.
The previous (10-11) season he played at Erie Bay Hawks. In two D-League games that year he averaged 14.5ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.0apg and 2.0spg.
Samuels has never been drafted by the NBA.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as His college team won Big East Tournament in 2009. Samuels was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Centrobasket 2nd Team in 2012. He represented Jamaica at the Centrobasket in San Juan (Puerto Rico) last year. Samuels team won Bronze and his stats at that event were 6 games: Score-4 (17.0ppg), 7.3rpg, 1.0apg, FGP: 54.8%, FT: 79.1%.
Samuels graduated from University of Louisville in 2010 and it is his third season as a professional player.

This week's number one is an experienced former international guard Akeem Scott (185-83). Scott could not help Universidad de Concepcion (20-10) in their last game. Neptunas waive Johnson - 11 days ago
Neptunas Klaipeda (LKL) waived 28-year old American (has also Jamaican passport) forward Omari Johnson (206-104kg-89, college: Oregon State). In 12 LKL games he recorded 8.1ppg and 4.8rpg this season. He played 11 games in Basketball Champions League where he averaged 8.3ppg and 5.6rpg. Johnson ended the last season at the Trail Blazers in NBA. But the most of that year he spent at another team Maine Red Claws in U.S. semi-pro league D-League.
