Akeem Scott

   #1. This week's number one is an experienced former international guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point, currently plays in Chile). Scott could not help Universidad de Concepcion (20-10) in their last game. Despite his very good performance the second-placed Universidad de Concepcion (20-10) lost in an overtime 81-85 on the road to the lower-ranked (#5) CD Tinguiririca San Fernando in the Conferencia Centro. Scott had a double-double by scoring 32 points and getting 10 rebounds. He also added 5 assists and 5 steals in 45 minutes on the court. It's Scott's first season with the team. Scott has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 19.6ppg, 6.4rpg, 4.0apg, 2.9spg, 2FGP: 52.2%, 3FGP: 26.3% and FT: 78.0% in 31 games he played so far. Scott is a naturalized American. Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. He played for the Jamaican senior national team three years ago.

Adrian Uter

   #2. Second place goes to former international power forward Adrian Uter (200-84, agency: BeoBasket, college: Hofstra, currently plays in France). Uter was not able to help ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (10-9) in their last game on Sunday. Despite his good performance ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket was edged 82-81 on the opponent's court by the higher-ranked Gravelines-Dunkerque (#5). Uter recorded 11 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Uter's overall stats this season are: 9.4ppg, 4.3rpg, 1.3apg, 1.2bpg, 2FGP: 50.8%, 3FGP: 31.6% and FT: 59.3%. He is a naturalized American. Uter played for the Jamaican national team in 2013.

   #3. The Jamaican player who performed third best last week abroad was former international center Kimani Ffriend (211-77, college: Nebraska, currently plays in Serbia). Ffriend was not able to secure a victory for Dynamic BG (13-4) in their game against Dunav SB (10-7) in the Serbian KLS. Despite his good performance in Saturday night's game He recorded a double-double by scoring 11 points and getting the same number of rebounds. Ffriend also added 3 assists. This season Ffriend has very high stats. He averages: 16.8ppg, 7.5rpg, 2.0apg, 1.8bpg, 2FGP: 61.4%(35-57) and FT: 70.5%. Ffriend played for the Jamaican national team five years ago.

Durand Scott

   #4. Swingman Durand Scott (196-90, college: Miami, FL, currently plays in Italy) was the major contributor in a Enel Brindisi's victory against one of league's weakest teams Openjobmetis VA (5-14) crushing them 80-58 in the Italian Serie A last Sunday. He recorded 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in 34 minutes. Enel Basket Brindisi (9-10) is placed ninth in the Serie A. Scott has very impressive stats this year: 15.7ppg, 5.3rpg, 2.7apg and 1.3spg in 18 games. He is a naturalized American. Scott used to play for the Jamaican national team back in 2013.

   #5. Former international center Jerome Jordan (215-86, college: Tulsa, currently plays in Spain) led Joventut to a 2-point victory against the closely-ranked UCAM Murcia (6-14) 86-84 in the Spanish Liga Endesa on Sunday night. He scored 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds. Divina Seguros Juventut Badalona (6-14) is placed 14th in the Liga Endesa. Jordan has relatively good stats this season: 10.2ppg and 5.2rpg. He used to play for the Jamaican national team three years ago.

   #6. Guard Dylan Ennis (187-91, currently plays college basketball in the States) led Oregon to a victory against the University of Southern California (4-10) 81-70 in the NCAA last Saturday. Ennis recorded 12 points and grabbed 5 rebounds. The University of Oregon has a very solid 11-2 conference record this season. It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. This season Ennis has relatively solid stats: 10.9ppg, 4.3rpg, 3.2apg and 1.1spg. He is a former international player as he played for the Jamaican senior team three years ago.

Former international power forward Ryan Reid (204-86, college: Florida St., currently plays in Japan) contributed to a 2-point Shimane Magic's victory against the sixth-ranked Iwate Big Bulls (9-27) 51-49 in the Japanese B League D2 on Saturday night. Reid recorded 6 points in only 13 minutes. Shimane Susanoo Magic (29-6) is placed second in West group. It was his team's 11th consecutive victory in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game will be critical. This year Reid's overall stats are: 8.2ppg and 5.7rpg in 36 games. He is a naturalized American. Reid used to play for the Jamaican national team six years ago.

Power forward Adrian Forbes (211-88, agency: Haylett Sports, college: Auburn, currently plays in Japan) couldn't help Kagawa FA (10-26) in their game against Bambitious Nara (13-23) in the Japanese B League D2. He scored 8 points, grabbed 14 rebounds and dished 3 assists. Kagawa FA (#5) were defeated 92-85 at home by the lower-ranked Bambitious Nara (#5) in the West group. It was Kagawa FA's seventh consecutive loss in a row. There are only four games left until the end of the Regular Season. So now every game is very crucial. Forbes' total stats this season are: 5.7ppg, 6.5rpg and 1.2bpg. He used to play for the Jamaican national team back in 2014.

   #1. Experienced Torin Francis (210-C-83, college: Notre Dame, currently plays in Argentina) led La Union to a 2-point victory over the fourth-ranked Regatas Corrientes (18-12) 78-76 in the Argentinian LigaA on Sunday night. He was MVP of the game. Francis had a double-double by scoring 20 points and getting 13 rebounds in 31 minutes. La Union Formosa (6-20) is placed seventh in Norte group. Francis has relatively good stats this year: 13.9ppg and 8.3rpg in 32 games he played so far. He is a naturalized American.

   #2. Ryan Martin (206-F-91, college: Tenn Tech, currently plays in France) led STB Le Havre to a victory against the closely-ranked Lille Metropole (10-8) 72-65 in the French ProB (second division) in Friday night's game. Martin scored 13 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in 29 minutes. STB Le Havre (10-8) is placed fourth in the ProB. It was his team's first victory after three consecutive loses. This year Martin has relatively solid stats: 13.0ppg, 7.0rpg and 1.5spg in two games. He has a dual citizenship: Jamaican and British. Despite Martin's Jamaican passport, he previously played for the British U20 national team and is probably not eligible to play for the Jamaican team.

   #3. Jevohn Shepherd (196-G/F-86, college: Michigan, currently plays in FIBA Europe Cup) was the major contributor in a 1-point Spirou Charleroi's victory against the second-ranked JSF Nanterre (4-2) 85-84 in the FIBA Europe Cup last Wednesday. Shepherd recorded 11 points and added 3 assists. It was his first game for Spirou Charleroi this season. His team is placed fifth in group Q. Shepherd is another player who holds two passports: Canadian and Jamaican.

   #4. Justin Rutty (200-F-89, agency: HMS, college: Quinnipiac, currently plays in Uruguay) contributed to an Union Atletica's victory against the sixth-ranked Cordon (1-8) 100-94 in a derby game in the Uruguayan LUB on Wednesday night. He had a double-double by scoring 13 points and getting 11 rebounds. Rutty also added 3 assists in 34 minutes. Union Atletica Montevideo (5-4) is placed fourth in Promocional 2 group. Rutty has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 18.3ppg, 10.0rpg and 1.9apg in nine games. Rutty is a naturalized American.

   #5. Sherman Gay (201-F/C-82, college: Loyola Mary, currently plays in Finland) could not help KTP-Basket (10-17) in their last game on Friday. Despite his very good performance KTP-Basket was edged 82-79 on the road by the higher-ranked Joensuun_Kataja (#4). Gay was the second best scorer with 22 points. He also added 9 rebounds and made 3 blocks. This season Gay has very high stats. He averages: 20.3ppg, 7.0rpg, 2.0bpg and 1.2spg. Gay is a naturalized American.

   #6. Sek Henry (193-G-87, college: Nebraska, currently plays in France) contributed to a 1-point Gravelines-Dunkerque's victory against the closely-ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket 82-81 in the French ProA last Sunday. He recorded 7 points and grabbed 5 rebounds in 34 minutes. This year Henry has relatively solid stats: 13.4ppg, 4.0rpg, 2.4apg and 1.4spg in 13 games. He is a naturalized American.

   #7. Phil Henry (203-PF-91, agency: Global Sports Plaza, college: E.New Mexico, currently plays in Slovakia) led Nova Ves to a victory over the league outsider Nitra 90-72 in the Slovakian SBL on Wednesday night. Henry was MVP of the game. He recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points and getting 13 rebounds. Henry also added and 4 steals. This season Henry has very high stats. He averages: 16.1ppg, 8.6rpg and 1.1apg. Henry is a naturalized American.

   #8. Kore White (205-F-89, college: S.Florida, currently plays in Indonesia) was the main contributor in a Pelita Jaya's victory against the league outsider Satya Wacana crushing them 95-69 in the Indonesian IBL in Sunday night's game. He was MVP of the game. White had a double-double by scoring 32 points and getting 16 rebounds. He also added 8 assists in 34 minutes. White has very impressive stats this year: 23.0ppg, 12.5rpg, 3.2apg, 1.2bpg and 1.8spg in six games. He is a naturalized American.

   #9. Jermaine Anderson (188-PG-83, college: Fordham, currently plays in ABA League) was not able to help Mornar Bar in their game against KK Zadar in the ABA League. Anderson cannot count Friday's game as one of the best ones. He recorded only 3 points and added 3 passes in 11 minutes. His team was badly defeated by 18 points 80-62. This year Anderson's total stats are: 2.5ppg, 1.5rpg and 2.0apg in four games. He has both Canadian and Jamaican nationalities.

   #10. Clint Robinson (203-F/C, currently plays college basketball in the States) contributed to a 3-point Ill.-Chicago's victory against the Youngstown State University 84-81 in the NCAA on Thursday night. Robinson scored 6 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Robinson's total stats this season are: 5.3ppg and 4.8rpg.

Crvena Zvezda MTS Beograd (KLS) strengthened their roster with addition of 26-year old Jamaican international point guard Dylan Ennis (187-87kg-91, college: Oregon, agency: BeoBasket) from Mega Bemax. In 10 KLS games in Serbia he recorded very impressive stats: 18.6ppg, 4.6rpg, 5.4apg and 2.2spg this season. He just graduated from University of Oregon and it is his first season as a pro. Ciclista Olimpico de La Banda (LigaA) landed experienced 40-year old Jamaican ex-international center Kimani Ffriend (211-111kg-77, college: Nebraska). He played most recently at KK Dynamic BG Beograd in Serbian KLS league. In 26 games he averaged 14.0ppg, 6.2rpg, 1.4apg and 1.3bpg last season. It was a very successful year in his career as he was selected to Eurobasket.com All-Serbian League Honorable Mention and League Player of the Week (2 times).
