Arecibo - Lanus 82-91 Lanus capped their Liga Americas campaign with victory. They overcame Capitanes de Arecibo on the final day of the Final Four stage. Fernando Martina (202-F/C-81) knocked down 19 points to lead the winners. With Pinheiros/Sky grabbing the title a day earlier the teams had no pressure on them entering this one. They traded baskets throughout the opening quarter as scoreboard read 24:24 after ten minutes. Lanus surged ahead in the second period. The Argentinean team posted a 48:41 halftime lead. The teams remained hot offensively in the third quarter. Lanus maintained the advantage entering the fourth frame up by 7 points 71:64. They outgunned Arecibo 20:18 in the fourth frame and sealed the winning outcome at the end. Patricio Prato (195-G-79) delivered 17 points, while Battle added 15 points for the winners. Angel Daniel Vassallo (198-G/F-86, college: Virginia Tech) answered with 20 points for Arecibo. David Cortez Ruiz had 14 points in the loss.
Brasilia - Pinheiros/Sky 85-81 Uniceub/BRB added some positive moments to their Liga Americas Final Four campaign beating Pinheiros/Sky on the final day of the competition. Welington Dos Santos (185-PG-81) came up with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the winners. Pinheiros/Sky entered the game clinching the title on Saturday. Uniceub/BRB dominated in the first half. The NBB champions grabbed a 25:18 lead after ten minutes. They stretched the gap in the second quarter. Brasilia accounted for a 48:31 halftime lead. But Pinheiros/Sky picked up the slack in the third quarter. The champions went on a 30:16 rally to get within 3 points at the final intermission. Uniceub/BRB however slowed their opponents down in the fourth frame and sneaked to a narrow win at the end. Alex Ribeiro (191-G-80, agency: Interperformances) delivered 15 points, while Arthur Silva contributed 14 points in the victory. Shamell Stallworth (195-SG-80, agency: Interperformances, college: USF) answered with game-high 29 points for Pinheiros. Leonardo Morro had 15 points in the loss.

Lanus - Pinheiros/Sky 66-82 Pinheiros/Sky ensured the Liga Americas title. The Brazilian team recorded the second straight win in the tournament beating Lanus and claimed the title with one round left at the Final Four stage. Marcio Dornelles (194-SF-75) stepped up with 21 points for the winners. Lanus eked out a 16:15 lead after ten minutes of action. The Brazilian team surged ahead in the second quarter. Pinheiros/Sky went on a 19:14 run to secure a 34:30 halftime lead. Lanus stayed close throughout the third frame. The Argentinean team trailed by just 3 points heading into the fourth frame. But Pinheiros/Sky shocked their opponents in the fourth stanza. The Brazilian side went on a 27:14 spurt to seal the win at the end. With the victory of Capitanes de Arecibo in the latter game of the day Pinheiros/Sky became the 2013 Liga Americas champions! Mineiro Ferreira (208-C/F-88) scored 20 points and pulled down 9 rebounds, while Shamell Stallworth added 13 points, 6 assists and 5 boards for the winners. Adrian Boccia (195-G/F-82) answered with 18 points for Lanus. Robert Battle had 14 points in the losing effort.
Brasilia - Arecibo 74-88 Capitanes de Arecibo opened the win count at the Liga Americas Final Four stage. They overcame Uniceub/BRB on the second day of the tournament in Arecibo. Angel Daniel Vassallo (198-G/F-86, college: Virginia Tech) stepped up with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the winners. Capitanes de Arecibo got to a comfortable start. They dropped 27 points in the opening frame to take an 11-point lead. The Puerto Rican team stretched the gap in the second quarter. Capitanes piled up a 43:31 halftime lead. Uniceub/BRB tried to put up a comeback rally in the third stanza. The Brazilians fired 25 points to narrow the deficit at 9-point mark. But Capitanes regained control in the fourth quarter and punched the winning ticket at the end. Peter John Ramos (222-C-85) had 18 points and 9 rebounds, while Windi Graterol chipped in 14 points in the victory. Guilherme Giovannoni (203-F-80, agency: Interperformances) responded with game-high 27 points for Uniceub/BRB. Paulo Prestes delivered 17 points and 13 boards in the loss.

Lanus - Brasilia 77-49 Lanus victoriously opened their Liga Americas Final Four round campaign. They thrashed Uniceub/BRB in Arecibo for 1-0 record. Nicolas Laprovittola (187-PG-90) provided 18 points to pace the Argentinean side. Lanus surged ahead early in the encounter. The Argentineans piled up a 19:13 lead after the starting frame. Lanus boosted the gap in the second quarter. They arrived at halftime up by as many as 20 points 45:25. Lanus cleared off for good in the third quarter. The Argentinean side limited Uniceub/BRB to just 9 points in the third term and accumulated a 35-point lead at the final intermission. Uniceub/BRB went on a 15:8 run in the fourth stanza but could not save the game at the end.
