Trigueros Mexican CIBACOPA Champions
In the final game of the CIBACOPA final , the Trigueros de Cd
Obregon won ther third tittle over Vaqueros de Agua Prieta to be the
best team in the short history of CIBACOPA .
The game was played with no team letting down in defense the player
ho won the game was Ramses Benitez with a last shot of the game to
put wild the people down there in Sonora. At half the lead was 49
-46 in favor to Trigueros .
But in the final period Trigueros was trailing all period but
Benitez put the championship basket.

Sonora - In a heated contest played in the home of the
Mineros de
Cananea, the 1500 fans in attendence would play a major role on the outcome
of this game but not the way you would assume for their home team Mineros. The
lead changed hands several times until, after the 2nd and 3rd quarters, Guasave
began to slowly add to their lead. With the score at 75-69 in favor of the
Frayles a call went against the Mineros and it was all the crowd could bear.
People from the crowd were up in their seats, littering the court, many began to
make their way onto the court itself as play was stopped to regain order. The
attendence was all the facility could bear with a calm crowd and things were
geting heated. A wonderful season for the likes of

multiple attempts to calm the crowd down. Unfortunately the game was called and
the players were taken back to their hotels, League President Antonio Gandara
proclaimed for the safety of all those involved the game would not continue.
Frayles de Guasave takes game 7 of the series, final score 79-65. League awards
will be announced shortly with player of the year, import player of the year,
1st and 2nd teams, and honorable mentions among those to be announced.
