Brazil - Canada 77-70
Brazil earned the second win at the 2013 Marchand Cup. They held off Canada to finish the tournament at 2-2 record. Marcelinho Huertas (191-PG-83, agency: Edge Sports) recorded 19 points to pace the Latin American team. Brazil snatched an 18:14 lead after ten minutes of action. Canada denied the deficit in the second frame. The North American side tied things up at 33 after twenty minutes. Brazil retained the lead in the third term. They accumulated a 54:52 advantage before the fourth frame. Brazil unloaded 23 points in the final period and escaped with a tough win at the end. Jose Juan Barea (181-PG-84, college: Northeastern) stepped up with 21 points and 8 assists to lead the winners. Argentina ensured the better start to the game. They accumulated a 19:12 lead ten minutes into the game. Puerto Rico bounced back in the second quarter. The hosts picked up the tempo and surged ahead for a 39:38 halftime lead. Puerto Rico stayed aggressively offensively throughout the third term. The hosts entered the fourth frame up by 8 points 65:57. Puerto Rico - Brazil 84-81
Puerto Rico defeated Brazil in their third game at the Tuto Marchand Cup. The victory allowed the hosts to improve at 3-0 record. They will now take on Argentina for the title in the final day of the tournament. Argentina clinched the third straight win at the Tuto Marchand Cup in Puerto Rico. They overcame Dominican Republic to stay perfect. Argentina will face Puerto Rico for the trophy later tonight. Argentina snatched a 20:19 lead after ten minutes. They boosted the gap in the second frame. Argentina piled up a 38:29 halftime advantage. Dominican Republic narrowed the deficit in the third term. They got within 7 points at the final intermission. Argentina unloaded 21 points in the fourth frame and marched to the victory at the end. Luis Scola (206-F/C-80) and Juan Gutierrez (205-F/C-83) finished with 12 points each to pace Argentina. Leonardo Mainoldi and Selem Safar had 9 points each in the win. Brazil - Argentina 70-90
Argentina celebrated the second consecutive victory at the 2013 Tuto Marchand Cup in Puerto Rico. They rallied past Brazil. Luis Scola (206-F/C-80) was pivotal tallying 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winning team. Brazil fell at 1-1 record after the loss. Argentina enjoyed a narrow 21:20 lead after ten minutes. They exploded with 29 points in the second frame to clear off. Argentina ensured a 50:35 halftime advantage. They dominated throughout the third term.
