Puerto Rico - Canada 72-78
Canada have clinched the Marchand Cup title. The North American team outgunned Puerto Rico to earn the trophy. Andrew Wiggins (203-G-95, college: Kansas, agency: BDA Sports) scored 20 points to pace the champions. Canada jumped to a 19:14 lead after the opening frame. They boosted the gap at 7-point mark at the interval 38:31. Puerto Rico narrowed the gap in the third quarter. The hosts dropped 26 points to get within 2 points at the final break. Canada though held their opponents to just 15 points in the fourth frame and raced to the victory. Andrew Nicholson (206-PF-89, college: St.Bonaventure, agency: Priority Sports) netted 16 points, while Melvin Ejim posted 11 points and 11 rebounds for Canada. Jose Juan Barea (183-PG-84, college: Northeastern, agency: Relativity Sports) responded with 17 points, 9 assists and 8 rebounds for Puerto Rico. Ramon Clemente (200-PF-85, college: Wichita St., agency: Championship Sports) had 14 points and 9 rebounds in the loss.

Argentina - Dominican Republic 79-68
Argentina earned the first victory at the Marchand Cup. They held off Dominican Republic in San Juan. Nicolas Laprovittola (193-PG-90) posted 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Argentina jumped to an early lead. They built a comfortable 25:10 lead ten minutes into the game. Dominican Republic cut the deficit in the second frame. They pulled within 12 points at the interval 39:27. Dominican Republic fired 25 points in the third term to pull as close as 9 points. But Argentina held their opponents to just 16 points in the fourth quarter and raced to the win. Luis Scola (206-F/C-80, agency: AAI Sports) posted 14 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Edgar Sosa (190-PG-88, college: Louisville, agency: Duran International) and Luis Flores (188-G-81, college: Manhattan, agency: Duran International) responded with 13 points each for Dominican Republic.
