Alexis Castro (184-G/F-86, agency: 22ft, college: Vermont) had 17 points and 10 rebounds, and Abril Garcia (188-F/C-80, college: ORU) added 14 pts. In Puerto Rico, Jazmine Sepulveda (186-F-85, agency: Merit Sports, college: S.Florida) collected 20 points and 5 rebs. Carla Cortijo (173-G-87, college: Texas) and Angiely Morales (180-SG-87) (5 rebs) netted 10 pts each. Quarters: 23-17, 17-13, 21-27, 15-17. In the next game, Mexico will meet Argentina. Mexico avoided last place at U18 FIBA Americas Championship in Gurabo. They blasted Dominican Republic 64-33 in the last day of the competition and it was a game for the seventh place.
