Robert Diggs
33-year old point guard Myron Allen (182-PG-79) had a great game in the last round for Corr.Victoria and receives a Latinbasket.com LNBP Player of the Week award for round 14.
He had the game-high 33 points adding six rebounds and three assists for Corr.Victoria in his team's victory, helping them to beat Panteras (#6, 8-6) 91-84. Corr.Victoria maintains the 10th position in Mexican LNBP. Corr.Victoria is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 7-7 record. In the team's last game Allen had a remarkable 69.2% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Corr.Victoria's top player in his first season with the team. Myron Allen averages just after three games 22.3ppg, 5.3rpg and 5.3apg.

Second best performed player last round was Eric Hicks (198-F-83, agency: KMG Sports Management) of Fuerza Regia. He is American forward in his first season at Fuerza Regia. In the last game Hicks recorded impressive double-double of 26 points and 11 rebounds. Of course he lead Fuerza Regia to another comfortable win 92-78 over the lower-ranked Osos (#14, 2-12) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Fuerza Regia keeps 11th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-7 record. Hicks is a newcomer at Fuerza Regia and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Angel Alamo (206-F/C-85) of Guerreros (#13). Alamo got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . Despite Alamo's great performance Guerreros lost 83-90 to the higher-ranked Pioneros (#5, 9-5). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Guerreros can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 4-10 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Alamo he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Alamo has individually a great season in Mexico. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.7ppg (8th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Nate Miller (193-G-87) of Panteras - 25 points, 6 rebounds and 3 assists
5. Devon Pearson (198-F-84) of Halc.Xalapa - 19 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Rene Rougeau (198-G/F-86) of Toros - 24 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
7. LeRoy Hickerson (196-G-82) of Halc.Xalapa - 23 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Shannon Shorter (193-G-89) of Gansos - 31 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists
9. Ronald Selleaze (197-F-76) of Corr.Victoria - 17 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Kentrell Gransberry (206-C-85) of Soles - 26 points and 8 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

Mazatlan - Guaymas 99-94 Mazatlan rallied past Guaymas for the opening victory in the semifinal series. 25 personal fouls committed by Ostioneros de Guaymas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Jeff Ledbetter (190-88, college: Idaho) who helped to win the game recording 22 points (made all of his eight free throws).
