Lance Allred
Experienced Mexican-American Lance Allred (211-C-81, agency: SportsTalent) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Fuerza Regia and that's him to receive a Latinbasket.com LNBP Player of the Week award for round 23.
The 31-year old center had a double-double of 23 points and eleven rebounds, while his team beat Corr.Victoria (#11, 8-15) 99-94. Fuerza Regia is placed at 7th position in Mexican LNBP. Fuerza Regia is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 12-10 record. Allred turned to be Fuerza Regia's top player in his first season with the team. Weber State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Allred is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 8.8rpg) and averages solid 57.3% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 27-year old American power forward Angel Alamo (206-F/C-85) of Guerreros. Alamo impressed basketball fans with 33 points and 6 rebounds. Bad luck as Guerreros lost that game 94-105 to the higher-ranked Halc.Xalapa (#1, 21-2). Guerreros is still in a red zone at 12th spot in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 7-16 record. Alamo is a newcomer at Guerreros and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 20.9ppg (#6). He also registered 7.4 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American McHugh Mattis (198-F-84) of Abejas (#8). Mattis scored 15 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Mattis' great performance Abejas lost 73-81 to the higher-ranked Pioneros (#5, 16-7). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Abejas needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 12 victories and 11 lost games. Mattis has a great season in Mexico. After 17 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 8.7rpg (6th best). He also has 1.6bpg and FGP: 64.9%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Shannon Shorter (193-G-89) of Gansos - 35 points and 5 rebounds
5. Ricardo Melendez (179-PG-83) of Panteras - 34 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
6. LeRoy Hickerson (196-G-82) of Halc.Xalapa - 26 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists
7. James Dartez) of Corr.Victoria - 18 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Nick Stallings (190-G-83) of Osos - 30 points, 2 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Brody Angley (180-PG-86) of Toros - 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
10. Stephen Soriano (201-F-84) of Pioneros - 21 points and 5 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
