32-year old guard DerMarr Johnson (206-G-80) had a great game in the last round for Osos and receives a Latinbasket.com LNBP Player of the Week award for round 24.
He had a double-double of 35 points and 12 rebounds, while his team beat Barreteros (#10, 11-13) 91-77. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on the top of the standings. Osos is placed at 14th position in Mexican LNBP. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 20 games and recorded just four victories. In the team's last game Johnson had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Osos' top player in his first season with the team. DerMarr Johnson averages this season 28.5ppg and 7.0rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Jelani McCoy (208-C-77). He is American center in his first season at Osos. In the last game McCoy recorded impressive double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds. Of course together with Johnson he helped Osos with another comfortable win 91-77 over the higher-ranked Barreteros (#10, 11-13) being unquestionably team leader. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. But Osos managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 14th place. 20 lost games are too many comparing to just four victories Osos managed to get this year. McCoy is a newcomer at Osos and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to center Kentrell Gransberry (206-C-85) of league's second-best Soles. Gransberry scored 19 points and grabbed ten rebounds. He was a key player of Soles, leading his team to a 86-81 win against the lower-ranked Abejas (#8, 12-12). Soles is closer and closer to the top of the standings. They will still need more victories. But 20-4 record is not that bad... Gransberry has a great season in Mexico. After 18 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.1rpg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Alonso Izaguirre (200-G/F-76) of Fuerza Regia - 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
5. Antonio Garcia (203-F/C-76) of Panteras - 13 points, 19 rebounds and 3 assists
6. LeRoy Hickerson (196-G-82) of Halc.Xalapa - 26 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Marcus Morrison (198-G/F-84) of Huracanes - 23 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Oritseweyinmi Efejuku (196-G-86) of Fuerza Regia - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Emmanuel Little (196-F-85) of Fuerza Regia - 18 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Shannon Shorter (193-G-89) of Gansos - 23 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
