American forward Rodney Alexander (201-F-87) had a very impressive game in the last round for Corr.Victoria, receiving a Latinbasket.com LNBP Player of the Week award for round 25.
The 25-year old player had a double-double of 33 points and 11 rebounds, while his team crushed Osos (#14, 4-21) with 25-point margin 108-83. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on the top of the standings. Corr.Victoria maintains the 11th position in Mexican LNBP. Corr.Victoria is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 9-16 record. In the team's last game Alexander had a remarkable 88.9% from 2-point range. He turned to be Corr.Victoria's top player in his first season with the team. Former Oklahoma City University star has very solid stats this year. Alexander is in league's top in points (3rd best: 23.9ppg), rebounds (4th best: 8.9rpg) and averages impressive 56.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was another Corr.Victoria's star - 33-year old American Myron Allen (182-PG-79). Allen had a very good evening with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Of course together with Alexander he helped Corr.Victoria with another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Osos (#14, 4-21) 108-83. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Corr.Victoria keeps 11th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 9-16 record. Allen is a newcomer at Corr.Victoria, but is already one of team's top players.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Steffphon Pettigrew (195-F-89) of Abejas (#8). Pettigrew got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He was a key player of Abejas, leading his team to a 107-91 easy win against the lower-ranked Guerreros (#12, 7-18). Abejas needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 13 victories and 12 lost games. Pettigrew has a great season in Mexico. After 24 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.0ppg (8th best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Ian Young (191-PG-81) of Lechugueros - 18 points, 5 rebounds and 13 assists
5. Kentrell Gransberry (206-C-85) of Soles - 25 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists
6. LeRoy Hickerson (196-G-82) of Halc.Xalapa - 27 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists
7. Babacar Camara (211-C-81) of Lechugueros - 20 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
8. Lorenzo Mata (205-C-86) of Halc.Xalapa - 17 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Travis Gabbidon (201-F) of Guerreros - 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Marcus Morrison (198-G/F-84) of Huracanes - 15 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
