Halcones UV Xalapa (LNBP) added to their roster 31-year old American guard Kevin Sowell (190-81, agency: Interperformances). He played last summer at Reales in LNB league in Dominican Republic. Sowell also played at Franca in Brazilian NBB that season. A very spectacular year in his career as he was voted to Latinbasket.com Brazilian League All-Imports Team and to the All-Star Game. The most of last summer Sowell spent at Frayles de Guasave. In 20 CIBACOPA games he was the best scorer with impressive 30.7ppg and had 6.6rpg, 3.2apg, 1.6spg (in top 5) and 2.3bpg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Latinbasket.com All-Mexican CIBACOPA Defensive Player of the Year and voted to 1st Team and voted to All-Imports Team. Another team he played that season for was Caballeros de Culiacan. In 18 CIBACOPA games he was the best scorer with impressive 27.3ppg and recorded 5.2rpg, 3.2apg, 1.4spg (in top 5) and 3.2bpg. 
Sowell won Dominican Rep. LNB North Division championship title in 2011.
He is quite experienced player. Sowell has played also professionally in Argentina, Chile, Colombia (Bucaros), Iceland, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Venezuela (Gaiteros and Bucaneros).
He is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas.

Defending champion Sigal Prishtina (SuperLeague) landed 30-year old American power forward Michael Glover (203-98kg-87, college: Iona). He played in the summer at Obregon in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 54 games he was fifth best scorer with impressive 21.6ppg and recorded 10.3rpg (#2 in the league) and 1.4apg. Fuerza Regia Monterrey (LNBP) tabbed 25-year old international forward Fabian Jaimes (198-92) from Panteras. In 31 LNBP games he averaged 9.7ppg, 5.9rpg and 1.3apg last season. He can count that year as a very successful as was selected to Mexican LNBP All-Star Game. The previous (2016) summer Jaimes played at Tijuana Zonkeys (CIBACOPA) where in 40 games he had 6.1ppg and 2.9rpg in 2016 season. C.B. Torrons Vicens L'Hospitalet (LEB Silver) landed 27-year old Mexican forward Mauricio Cheda (198-90, college: UTEP) from Xuven Cambados. In 24 LEB Silver games in Spain he averaged 5.2ppg and 1.7rpg last season. Cheda also spent pre-season at Ciudad (LNBP) in Mexican league that year.
