Maurice Watkins
Damien McSwine
Ronald Selleaze
Alberto Verdugo
Jorge Acosta
G: Maurice Watkins (186-G-78) of Guamuchil - This season marks Watkinsreturn to Mexico in big fashion. His 33.6 points per game were tops in the league. Watkins style of play was pure electricity for the fans of Guamuchil. The heart and soul of the Guerreros.

G: Damien McSwine (193-G-78) of Los Mochis - Played positions 1 and 2 as evidenced by his 26.1 point average (2nd in the league) to go along with 7.2 assist. Caused a great deal of frustration for opposing defenders. Behind McSwine the Titanes were able to reach the last game of the finals only to fall against the Liebres of Guasave.

F: Ronald Selleaze (197-F-76) of Guasave - Selleaze joined the team later in the season showing himself to be the missing piece to the puzzle. His ability to play all five positions on the court was simply the difference of the finals. Ron had a finals average of 19.2 points, 10.2 rebs and 6 assist.

F: Alberto Verdugo (190-PG) of Los Mochis - Certainly the revelation of the tourament. Verdugos penetration ability may have been the best in the league. He gave Coach Johnathan Meza the confidence that he could rely on him for 15 points and 6 to 7 rebounds each night.

C: Alexis Cervantes (200-F-88) of Guasave - A live wire big man that runs the floor and plays the game with reckless abandon. Blocked shots, dunks and hard fouls are a staple in Cervantes style of play. We could have made a case for him for finals MVP as he boasted two games of more than 25 points and 10 rebounds.

Playoff MVP: Jorge Acosta (190-G-79) of Guasave - Suffering through several nagging injuries Reggie was able to lead his team to the championship title. A dead eye shooter from three point range and profilic at using the screen and roll. His 32 points in the final game gave Guasave the much awaited crown of the Cibanoro.

LNBP Round 4: Top-ranked Fuerza Regia wins another game - 12 hours ago

There were just four rounds played in Regular Season of LNBP and we can clearly see which teams will fight for top positions and which will try to avoid bottom places. The round 4 was rather boring as all games ended with very predictable results. LNBP top team - Fuerza Regia (4-0) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat sixth ranked Correcaminos (1-3) in Ciudad Victoria 85-74. Fuerza Regia dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint com...   [read more]
