Mario West
Fuerza Regia Monterrey (LNBP) added to their roster 29-year old American guard Mario West (195-98kg-84, college: Georgia Tech). West managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year (!!!). He played last summer at La Villa in La Vega League in Dominican Republic. He also played at Caneros in Dominican Rep. LNB that season. The other team West played that season for was Meralco Bolts in Filipino PBA. In 11 games he recorded very impressive stats: 30.1ppg, 7.8rpg, 2.7apg, 2.5spg and 1.1bpg. Another team he played that season for was Tezenis in Italian Lega2. In 28 games last season he averaged 13.3ppg, 4.9rpg, 1.4apg and 3.1spg (leader !!!). A very spectacular season in his career as he was selected Eurobasket.com All-Italian Lega2 Defensive Player of the Year.
The previous (2011) summer West played at Cocolos in LNB. Another team he played shortly were Brooklyn Nets (previous name New Jersey Nets) in NBA. In 6 games that year he averaged 3.7ppg, 1.8rpg, 1.7apg and 1.2spg.
West has played previously professionally in Italy (Tezenis Verona) and D-League (Maine Red Claws).
He attended Georgia Tech until 2007 and it will be his sixth season as a professional player.
