AZS Koszalin (TBL) is about to agree terms with 25-year old American power forward Alexander Franklin (196-103kg-88, college: Siena) who currently plays Soles de Mexicali in Mexico. In 13 LNBP games this season he had 14.0ppg, 5.9rpg, 2.4apg and 1.6spg. Franklin ended the last season at Titanes (LNB) in Dominican Rep. league. But the most of that year Franklin spent at Indios (BSN) in Puerto Rican league. In 21 games he recorded 6.4ppg and 3.6rpg. He helped them to win the league title. The other team Franklin played that season for was Lobe_Huesca (LEB Gold) in Spanish league. In 19 games last year he was fifth best scorer with impressive 16.2ppg and averaged 6.4rpg, 2.7apg and 2.5spg (leader !!!). Another team he played that season for was JA Vichy (ProB) in French league. In 10 games he was fifth best scorer with 13.5ppg and had 5.6rpg, 1.9apg and 1.1spg (leader !!!).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as Franklin was voted Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Honorable Mention in 2011. He represented USA at the Olympic Games Additional Qualifying Round in Caracas (Venezuela) last year. His stats at that event were 2 games: 5.0ppg, 2.0rpg, 1.0apg.
He attended Siena College until 2010 and it will be his third season as a professional player.

The most exciting game of round 11 in the LNBP took place in Ciudad Victoria. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of second-ranked Fuerza Regia (8-4) to fourth ranked Correcaminos (6-4) 91-90 on Friday evening. Former international Power forward Hector Hernandez (205-PF-85, agency: BeoBasket) had a very impressive game in the last round for Capitanes, receiving a Latinbasket.com LNBP Player of the Week award for round 10. The most important game in the last round took place in Aguascalientes between second ranked Capitanes (6-4) and tenth ranked Panteras (3-5) on Monday night. Capitanes were defeated by Panteras in a tough game on the road 101-109. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Capitanes.
